weekend escape

The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Because we checked in late we were able to check out late at no extra charge, now that's nice! Options in the hotel if you want to stay in, the cigar bar with pool table is a nice way to finish the evening before retiring to your room. The only reason I am giving comfort 4 stars is because the rooms are a lot smaller than they look online, but it really did not take away from the experience. In room dining was delicious, it's so hard to get nice eggs in the morning! Overall, a very pleasant stay. Will stay there again should we return to Charlotte.

Tasty Tapas at Dandelion Market right behind the hotel. A bit noisy and crowded on the weekend, but a nice hang and a good variety of tapas to accommodate different taste buds,

Great Location / Great Service

The hotel was perfectly located. I have always been a fan of the Marriott level of service and this hotel lived up to that. Additionally I had room service and found the food was deleicious, adequate proportiosn and great quality. Next time I am in Charlotte this is where I'm staying.

Charlotte Marriott City Center

The Hotel was in a great location. The service was wonderful. My husband and I were there on vacation to the US water rafting. We had the best time ever. The people that work at the hotel gave us tips on the area as far as food and things to do. Everyone was extreamly nice and helpful. The parking was easy. The next time I make a trip to Charlotte this is where I plan to stay. You could not ask for a better location or price.

Not so Happy

We went to a concert and out to dinner. Have stayed at this Marriott before and loved it. This time we had to call security because of loud noise and music from room beside us. That then stopped but all night they were up and down the hallway being loud. We were told the hotel was only 18% full, do not understand why we were put so close to this family reunion.

Great overall experience!

This hotel is in a good location downtown. Close to shopping venues, movie theater, lots of eating establishments, etc. They do charge $12 a day for parking, and if you have the option of driving a smaller vehicle vs. a truck or SUV, definitely go with the smallest vehicle you can. The only major complaint we had is the amount of money they will hold on your account if you use a debit card. It ended up being 3 times the amount of our hotel stay, and was held for 5 days.

Located a block over from the Charlotte Epicentre where there's clubs, eating, bars, a movie theater, and a Cold Stone's creamery(lol). Definitely worth a visit if you stay there.

Great Location and nice amenities

I found the hotel staff friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was comfortable and clean. Work out room was very nice with fruit infused water as a refreshment. When I needed directions to the airport the nice gentleman at the front desk had them delivered to my room (slipped under the door without interruption) would defintiely stay there again. Parking is extra but it is garage parking and easy access.

Very clean and nice, but nothing fancy

The location was great and the Hotel was very clean and nice. It just was not at that impressive for the price. The pool and weightroom are small and the equipment is poor.

Very Nice!

The hotel is very nice, the lobby is extremely tasteful and well laid out. As a couple the front desk agent gave us king bed (as opposed to 2 queens) and was very courteous. Since the hotel is in downtown charlotte the parking was underground the hotel, accompanied by a $12 charge for parking that we discovered at time of checkout (thus the 4 stars instead of 5). The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Charlotte, tons of restaurant and nightlife locations within walking distance. Also, the online deal for an extra $10 to include breakfast for 2 was an AWESOME perk. Very nice breakfast buffet (in restaurant) that was open until 12:30pm. I would guess at least a $25 value. Do the breakfast!
