Great downtown location.
Rooms were obviously redone, adequate but certainly not awesome. I was given a handicapped access room upon arrival which was ok but the furniture was placed to allow a wheelchair access... Location was great but $200 is a little over the actual value..the lobby is on the 5th floor. .

Perfect for overnight trips
We stayed at the A-Loft in downtown Charlotte for an overnight trip recently. The hotel is located pretty much in the center of downtown, so many amenities are are within walking distance, and catching a cab somewhere else is easy. The rooms were on the smaller side, but well appointed. Service was incredibly friendly. The only drawbacks were: parking is extra ($10/day) and the lack of a ground floor lobby.

Friends Weekedn
We came down for Halloween and a Football Game on Sunday. The hotel was in a perfect location and very clean. The staff was friendly as well. The fridge was not working. We were supposed to get 2 queens but were stuck with one king. They said because we booked through orbitz we were not guaranteed the 2 queens. They did give us some breakfast passes since they couldn't give us our two beds. Overall it was a great hotel but a little disappointed that we didnt get what we paid for. Would definitely return though!

Girls weekend extravaganze
Booked this hotel for a girls weekend in the city and we were amazed by the location and service at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. So many things to do in walking distance and the view of the city was amazing. We could not have asked for a better experience!

NO SLEEP!!
Hotel was beautiful, clean, and accomodating. Parking was an issue. I was not informed of parking charge nor of the outdoor concert going on that night on premises. Music was SO LOUD and continued until 3-4am. Needless to say NO SLEEP. It would have been nice to have been informed of this beforehand as I would have booked a room elsewhere. I was having my bridal photos taken the next day so I needed a good nights sleep. After check out I learned the $10.00 parking fee I paid the night before to get into the parking deck was not the hotels fee but the parking fee for the concert I didn't even attend. I had to pay yet another $10.00 to exit the parking deck. Not a good place for someone wanting to actually sleep

Modern and Worth It
Working vacation. I used the office area of the hotel room to get work done. Internet speed was good and the view was great. Restaurants, movies, clubs, and art museum all within walking distance. I didn't actually move my car from the parking garage. The door to the shower/toilet area of the bathroom was off the track, but the hotel staff quickly repaired the problem, no hassles whatsoever. Staff was courteous at all times. Helpful as well. I traveled with my daughter who was attending a conference. She's 19 and found her own fun and nightlife. I'm in my 40s and found my fun and nightlife. We were both happy.
