Holiday Inn Express CHAPEL HILL

Clean, nice decor...comfy beds however the toilet was leaking water and the fridge made a loud noise all night long. We eventually pulled the plug on the fridge to get rid of the noise...other than those inconveniences the hotel is nice and in a great location close to UNC.

Visiting Chapel Hill on business, location was close to everything I needed.

helpful staff.efficient check-in I used the gym. breakfast eggs sausage yogurt cereal fruit coffee and juice.

Had no idea where to stay as we were on a college-hunting trip and had never been to the area before. This place was very easy to find, had great access to everything we needed, and free wireless internet. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was perfect for what we needed. I would recommend this place over several others we drove by.

Nice place to stay. We were there overnight, but it fit the bill nicely.

The Hotel staff was very helpful before,during, & after our visit.They were very knowledgeable about the sorroundings & could accommodate any request we had. The rates were competitive & we will be back. DR Kee

I went to the UNC game, and we enjoyed the room.

Stayed for a UNC mens basketball game. Easy drive to the game. Good breakfast. Only complaint would be about the sign. It was not visible from the road, drove by the hotel twice before we found it.

Hotel was conveniently located to major highways and Chapel Hill. (University and Hospital) Staff was great...rooms clean and neat, and full breakfast was a surprise treat. Your survey on this site is not clearly laid out below. The satisfaction survey does not have headers indicating how the boxes to be checked are rated. I have to assume that 1 is low and 5 is high. Reading from left to right. Surprised that this is not indicated....could lead to bad reviews instead of good. Would hope that you correct this...so your feedback can be accurate.

We selected this hotel as in the past we had a very good experience of another holiday inn express breakfast bar. This hotel was very badly managed. Within half an hour that breakfast began they ran out of food. We didn't get to taste the cinnamon rolls that they ardently advertise. The staff would put out only 8 rolls in the morning and then tell us that they do not have more. Those 8 rolls are as hard as rock as they are frozen and hence avoided by everyone. we stayed for 2 days but were very unhappy with the breakfast. Even though breakfast began at 6:30am nothing was kept ready by the staff. On the second day, I complained to the front desk staff as once again within 20 minutes of breakfast bar being open they told us that they have run out of cinnamon rolls. The front desk staff told them about my complaint and with very unhappy faces they put 8 frozen rolls in the breakfast bar which noone could eat. Wonder how they suddenly got the rolls when they told us that they were over. The kitchen manager was dishonest. The vending machines were almost empty all the time and the vending area was very dirty. The beds and bathroom were exceptionally clean but the hotel corridors didn't smell fresh and were stinking. We had to hold our breath till we reached out room from the elevator. We wouldn't book this hotel ever again.
