The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Raleigh/Cary NC hotel is between Raleigh and Durham North Carolina along interstate 40. We are close to UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, NC State University, Carter Finley Stadium, Triangle Aquatic Center, Triangle Volleyball Club. Not good for business traveler

This hotel in not in keeping with either Marriott or [...] standards. It was at best run down and the staff while pleasant enough were more preoccupied with their own issues than the customers. The water was shut off at one point with notice after the fact and then the GM was racing around getting everyone to turn their taps on to clear the air. The hotel appeared run down and dirty even the linens were questionable. I would not choose this hotel again.

great place to stay

awesome stay. very quiet. the check-in lady knew i was staying for the week so she suggested the top floor so no one would be above me. and she put me at the end of the hall too so i had a bigger corner room, overlooking the woods. very nice. i could've picked elsewhere too (ie. first floor) if i wanted instead but went with her suggestion. nice staff, good location, no complaints

Disapointed in reservation conditions

Two days after making reservation for our grandson's graduation he chose not to go to graduation. We asked if we could apply the reservation to another hotel of theirs at a later date and they refused. I will be more careful who I make reservations with in the future. We didn't ask for our money back only to apply it for another time and place.

Business as usual

This was a weekend business trip, so a little pampering was needed to make the rest of the weekend salvagable. We were very well pleased with the accomodations. Very clean and quiet. The bed was wonderful, especially after a very busy day at work and having to jump and run with a 4 hour drive into the area. The staff at the desk were pleasant and efficient and had us off to our room quickly. This will definitelt be a place I will return to in the future.
