Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach

Great vacation for the 5 of us that went. beautiful Beach and hotel was nice. We did have a smell in our room that must have been vomite but was cleaned up.... We needed a roll away bed and was not a problem. We ate at Dennys with our 2 kids and was good food and service. We are already planning our return trip to your hotel.

Great hotel on the beach. We went in March so the Boardwalk was not operating bu tth ebeach was excellent and the nearby restaurants were terrific. I recommend Kate's Pancake House for breakfast and Ocean Grill & Tiki Bar for any time. Great S'more pancakes at Kate's and terrific Crab Cake Sandwich and Conch Fritters at Ocean Grill. Highly recommend.

The check in was a breeze, staff is wonderful. There seems to be someone cleaning somewhere all the time. Hence said, the place is very well cared for. The pools were great, easy on the feet. We went from the tepid ocean to the warmer outdoor or indoor pool, to the remarkable hot tub with super relaxing jets. Kudos to all the staff for a great experience. The recommendation for Kate's Pancake House and Deckside (or Dockside) Seafood were delicious. Would go again anyday of the year.

The Marriott is the best access to the beach for great playing in the water or just taking a long walk on the beach. A great seafood steam bar is right beside the Courtyard off the board walk. It has everything.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Very close to the beach and chair/umbrella rental was available. All rooms face the beach with small balconies good for 2 people only. At 11 am which is daily checkout time, one of the elevators was tied up while they changed out the light bulbs in it instead of doing it at an off peak hour. Staff has no service elevator so the 2 elevators are constantly in use by them as well as the guests. Lots of wait time. 1/2 the flowers in all the flower pots around the pool were dead. Lots of dead branches in trees. Pool was nice though. We were there 6 days/5 nights and never once could get a pool towel. They were in VERY short supply. One of the beds in our room had no mattress pad. Told the girl doing our room, but she still did nothing about it. The girl doing our room didn't want to do anything to the room except give us towels and asked if that was ok, which it wasn't. Coffee/tea were offered daily via self serve in the lobby which was great. As a tea drinker though, I was terribly disappointed to discover that the hot water pot had been used for coffee at one time and so the water for tea tasted like coffee. I had to look at the label on my tea bag to make sure I grabbed tea. TV remote had no sleep timer. Rooms were nice, bathroom large, but just seemed that the staff at this location is missing attention to detail and harmony amongst themselves. We were satisfied enough, but disappointed at the same time. Will probably try something different next year as a result. Did like having all types of restaurants within walking distance. Checkin .....be careful. Our room wasn't ready. They took our cell # to call us. The 2 staff members behind the desk became so overwhelmed with all the guests walking in to check in, they kept handing rooms out and didn't call us. Best bet is to stand there and wait or they won't get to you for a couple hours! I guess I would recommend, but we will be trying something different next year because of all the little things, many of which I didn't mention. There's just not enough attention to detail here.

Was looking for a hotel with a great location and easy access to the ocean, this hotel more than met this standard!

Weather turned cold.

I couldn't ask for better. It was a last minute trip. The hotel is right on the beach. My room faced the ocean. I slept with the waves crashing and woke up to the sunrise.
