If I had a comfortable mattress (I woke up with a sore back) Throw out the two pillows on each of the two beds. All four ... did not equal one pillow. I was there to attend my grandson's graduation. I doubt if I will ever go back to this motel.

Good experience
ed doc Oct 30, 2009
The desk clerk on duty was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of ... offerings that were fresh, although the orange juice dispenser was not working. The only drawback (soon to be resolved, I hope!) was major road construction that made it difficult to find the entrance. The desk clerk put everyone in rooms on the opposite side from the construction, which I thought was nice!

Our stay was "great" the room was very clean. The girl who serviced our room saw bandaids as she was cleaning while we were ... out and left a note that she hoped we were alright and offered to get us more bandaids if we needed them. I would stay @ Country Inn again when in Boone. Breakfast was the best I have had...comparing to other stays @ other places...We will stay there again....

DON't stay here! The suite they advertised on Orbitz was nothing but a cramped room with 2 beds and a desk. The internet ... access did not work. There were no cups to drink coffee from in the room. The tv remote quit working and had to be replaced. The hairdryer did not work. The indoor pool was so chlorinated you could not swim in it. When asked about the suite, they claim they do not sell suites through Orbitz, only their "standard" room. the amenities they advertise like Refridgerator, fold out couch, microwave, etc are not in the rooms they rent on Orbitz. You can get a similar room for $40 at the Super 8. They charged a suite price, but the room was not up to even a modest standard of quality.

Fresh Cookies at the Front Desk!
leagle Jul 7, 2009
This was our first visit to Boone--and were overall happy with this choice. Our ONLY surprise was that there wasn't a fridge ... or microwave in the room...the first place we've stayed at in years that didn't have them. We were staying for several days, and would have liked the option of "stocking up" the fridge, or nuking leftovers. On the plus side, the breakfast was nice--and the front desk made fresh chocolate cookies in the evening--nothing like the aroma of cookies when you enter the lobby!

Great place to stay
Karen Nov 16, 2008
This hotel was a great place to stay for our weekend get-away in Boone, NC. We took in the nearby ASU game while there, ... shopped downtown (also nearby) and had a great place to come in from the cold there at the Country Inn & Suites. The breakfast was great. They had Belgium Waffles which really made it great! We will go back again for sure - with one student at ASU and another on the way to ASU, we need to get a permanent room, I guess.

superior quality, good value
DOUGLAS Feb 5, 2008
We were impressed by the high level of attention from the staff; everyone had a great attitude. The place was very ... comfortable, clean and well laid out. The lobby and public areas all are inviting and spacious and the exercise room and pool/spa area are well maintained and are enjoyable to use. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was quiet, with a nice view and the bathroom was also very nice- a big room with a really nice shower & tub. We could have used a little refrigerator, but it was no big deal. Each floor has a convenient vending/ ice and laundry area and the laundry machines were free. The breakfast room was very nice, with plenty of items well arranged for a quick start, as well as a big balcony and large tv. There was something for everyone, from cereal to waffles. The location is very convenient to everything in Boone and the University, as well as ski areas. There is a big mall and movies right across the street. This is definitely a family-oriented place, with plenty of kids, but the quality of the staff and the well-designed layout of the hotel makes it something you will look forward to coming back to after the day's activities. Value for the price is excellent and we will look for Carlsons' wherever we travel in the future.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to the sites to go see and the places to eat for dinner. When I ... wanted to go somewhere, they were very helpful-and knowledgable-about the local area and the area around the Parkway and were able to give accurate, simple directions so I can get to my destinations without fear of getting lost. The Rooms were promptly cleaned and beds made up after I got going for the morning, assuring a nice, clean room when I got back! I always got my wake-up calls, too! The lobby was very well set up and the atmosphere was very friendly. The view out the front was very nice and pleasant. The hotel was right on the main street (East King)in Boone-you were five minutes from anywhere you wanted to go to in the city.

The Boone/Blowing Rock area is excellent for shopping. You can enjoy the Shops on the Parkway off Hwy. 321 in Blowing Rock.
