Cozy country retreat near the Blue Ridge Parkway and outdoor recreation
The Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Boone, NC, provides a cozy retreat for exploring the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Nice hotel
The Country Inn & Suites was a charming, clean hotel and close distance to downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The front desk personnel were very pleasant. The lobby supplied fresh baked cookies and coffee dailey. The continental breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The Belgium waffles were yummy! I would suggest this quaint hotel to everyone. We had a very pleasant stay.

Beef O Bradys in the WalMart shopping plaza has great wings if you are tired and want to eat casual. There are plenty of good eats within a very short drive from the hotel..great shopping too!

Enjoyed this Hotel very much
I enjoyed staying at the Country Inn and Suites. It was nice in most all ways. The rooms are nice and the amenties are good except for the breakfast area. It was small and not enough space to eat with others crowed around. Breakfast is very basic but plenty of it. Location is very good and it is only four or five years old so it is still new looking.

Short drive from hotel
Make sure you go to the Mast General Store in Valle Cruice. It is better than the one right in Boone since it is on the list of one of the eleven most historical sites. It is the original General Store and has a lot of neat stuff to see and buy. Also has an annex about two tenths of a mile from the original store. It is a must see.

Good place to stay
Good place to stay. Fairly easy to get into even with highway construction going on in front. Breakfast was good. Staff was great. Quiet. The only complaint was toilet seat was loose (I forgot to tell staff about this) can be fixed with a bushing made for the purpose.

We visited the local downtown and shopped. The hotel was very clean and nice. Breakfast was clean and food was fresh! Hotel employees was very nice and was always on standby for help!

Nice Hotel
The hotel was really good and clean. Employees were especially nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Road construction is going on right outside the front. Which made it a little noisey and the entrance had been move

Highly Recommended
The room and hot breakfast were excellent. However, the hospitality and helpfulness of the front desk personnel was even more noteworthy. Their directions, recommendations for restaurants and points of interest were right on.

The Bistro in the shopping center across the street is highly recommended. It has an excellent menu and a truly accomplished chef.

Trip to Mountains
We found the hotel to be comfortable, clean and just what we needed after our busy day. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The lobby made you feel as though you were in a quaint local motel in the mountains...not sterile and like a chain motel. I could not believe that the staff knew our names as we came in. Very homey!!

Had 2 nights here and thought
Had 2 nights here and thought it a very nice place to stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Small pool but didn't spend too much time in hotel as out and about. Room very nice and clean, comfortable beds. Sat outside in rocking chairs in the evening enjoying a coffe and although this was overlooking the car park it was quiet and relaxing.
