Anxious Bride to Be
Cute and Cozy
My fiance, I, and some friends of ours spent a weekend in Blowing Rock. We visited Grandfather Moutain and a few other places on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our room at the Hillwinds Inn was warm and cozy and a great place to come back to in the cold snowy weather. We spent alot of time in our room playing games since it was so cold out at night. The lighting in the room was not the best and a table and a few chairs would have been nice as well, but overall our stay was great!

great place to stay
Our stay at the Hillside Inn was wonderful. We were so centrally located. We were able to walk to down town (or uptown)and the shopping was great. The con-tinental breakfast was great and the staff was won- derful. If we ever go back to Blowing Rock we will definitely stay here again. (very happily)I forgot to say the room was immaculate.

If you want to save money there are little restaurants along the road that were wonderful.

A little disapointed.....
Only stayed 1 night and that was enough.

Much further to Main Street than ad states. It is not a short walk.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway!
In town for a wedding, this hotel's location was perfect! Main Street was just a short walk away and you could park your car right in front of your room. The morning coffee was delicious! We went to Grandfather Mountain, which was absolutely beautiful!

Cozy and Comfy
The room was nicely decorated and was so comfortable. We walked a very short distance to downtown blowing rock that consisted of several nice shops. We loved that part. There is a park within walking distance which is perfect if traveling with children. We ate at Kilwins fudge shop and they have a wonderful selection of ice cream flavors, fudge, treats, and so much more. Awesome ice cream!! We traveled not very far to Grandfather Mountain and had a blast there as well. The hotel is very close to a shopping outlet and many restaurants in Boone. We also ate Barbeque at Woodlands BBQ and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. "The Blowing Rock" is right down the road and is well worth the visit. I wish we would've stayed longer to enjoy much more. The visitors center is less than a minute away and was very informative. It would've been nice to have a microwave in the room but there is one available not far from the rooms in the wonderful breakfast area. The breakfast is the best continental breakfast we've ever had. They had so much to choose from and it was all fresh and delicious. The room was overall an exquisite room. The only thing I would change is the lighting in the bathroom. The shower was really dark. We would definitely stay at HillWinds Inn again!

Downtown Blowing Rock is right down the street and a very short walking distance. I highly reccommend checking out the cool shops they have.

Cozy

We arrived late and hungry,excited too find that the Blowing Rock Grille was next door. It was Our 39th wedding anniversry, the atmosphere sitting outside and food was wonderful.
