Great place to stay!
Room was spa-like, very clean, well decorated & appointed - even the studio room has a fully equipped kitchen & an electric fireplace. Management came to the room upon check-in to demo how everything worked & answer any questions. Note: 1)The rooms could use room darkening drapery. There are plantation shutters over the doors/windows which don't block enough light from the room if you want/need a dark room for sleeping - especially if you're in a room where lights from cars in the parking lot shine directly into your room.

If you're eating out in Asheville, I can highly recommend the Sunny Point Cafe in West Asheville & Tupelo Honey Cafe in downtown Asheville. (I had to rate the hotel in dining options, but there is no on-site dining. You can prepare meals in the kitchen or choose from many great restaurants in Asheville.)

Really restful place
Very friendly and helpful staff who welcome you well. Very restful, quiet place with the exception of poor ceiling accoustics. Loud clomping on floor above us. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well furnished and pretty. The location is close to shopping and dining, and to well known tourist attractions.

The Residences at Biltmore
The room was huge, very clean and modern. It's a condo, so like a small home. Flat screen TV, washer and dryer, the works. Just nothing to do there. no resteraut or anything. Just a great room.

Very good experience.
We were upgraded (for free) from a studio to a one bedroom. We are pretty discerning, and travel a lot on business, and both my wife and I were really impressed with our accomodations. The "room" had a large living room, dining area, full-size kitchen, gigantic bathroom and bedroom. Everything was tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It took us five minutes from arrival to be checked in and get to our room. The location was good, central between the Biltmore area and downtown. Finally, the price was reasonable. My one substantive complaint about the property is that the room was noisier than I would have liked. We could hear the people in the room above us moving around and using the plumbing. This property was recommended to us by some friends, and after staying there, we would highly recommend it to others.

I was sick but...
My experience at The Residences at Biltmore could have been so much more but I enjoyed none the less. It was within 5 min to the gates of the Biltmore. A little longer to ride up to the mansion. Heading downtown was similarly easy and there were ample parking lots. I got sick before I came to Asheville so I drank tea and watched tv for the majority of time I was there. I would definitely come back. Its quite an artsy town. Also, there was complimentary wifi which was such a surprise.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Wal-Mart was a quick 10 minute ride. It was a Super Wal-Mart and I was able to get some meds so that was a relief. Ask the concierge for details.
