Even at the price wasn't worth it
We were looking for a place as close to downtown as possible, but at a reasonable price. Even at $70/night this place wasn't worth it. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything from all the surrounding rooms and the hallways. The room had an odor to it as well. The mattresses were way too soft. I would recommend you spend the extra $20-$30 and get a better room somewhere else.

Short drive from hotel
Downtown Asheville has a bunch of great restaurants and coffee shops. Spend your time there or in West Asheville.

Information
Not enough info in the on line description. Three floors & no elevator . Had to climb stairs to 3rd floor which is hard to do with my health problems. The only ice machine was on the ground floor, so I had to do without ice. There was no instructions for operating the TV & the channel line up in the room was all wrong. The TV screen had scratches on it that showed up in picture. Don`t think I`ll stay at this hotel again.

Good Room for the Price
We stayed at this hotel while we were in Asheville for a New Year's Eve concert. It was further from the Civic Center than Mapquest had told us, but it was a nice, clean room with a friendly staff. The hotel was pet friendly, and spacious enough for our 40lb dog's crate. We weren't shown an elevator, and the stairwell and exterior of the building needed some cleaning and repair. But I left my phone there and the helpful staff arranged for it to be mailed to my home!

Short drive from hotel
We had planned to walk to the Civic Center, but it was too far. Come to find out we had about a 5 minute drive on the Interstate.

I won't return
Lacking an elevator, I was forced to haul our luggage up 2 flights of narrow stairs to the 3rd floor. Entrance to the building was through standard fire doors at the end of the building. So the effect is of entering prison wing. I would never stay in a Rodeway Inn again.

Table, a very good restaurant, is downtown. It's about a 20 minute drive away but had a good wine list and the food was excellent. The place is a bit noisy though.

All American Owned
It was a relief to see it was run by an all American friendly family. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on in a motel and we have traveled alot. It was small, extremely clean room with a large flat screen tv.

Great place for an overnight stay
We had to find someplace for an overnight stay and this hotel served the purpose. It doesnt have facilities of a 5 star hotel, but rooms are neat, clean & decent. The staff were also pretty good to us. It well worth the money spent.

OK for Overnight, NOT for Longer Stay
Access to our third-floor room was via a dimly-lit stairwell, which was only accessible from the rear of the building...no direct access to lobby/front desk without going outside. Room was mostly clean, with the exception of the thick layer of dust on the picture frame. Two light bulbs were out [does housekeeping clean these rooms in the dark?]. A/C worked well, and in-room microwave and fridge were great for heating/keeping our takeout meal. Flat-screen TV was OK, but had to move alarm clock from desk in order to plug in laptop [it was either the clock or the lamp--the one lamp that actually had both bulbs working--and I hate to work in the dark]. Then wi-fi wouldn't stay connected for over 30 minutes at a time [laptop was stationary]. Bed was comfortable, slept well...didn't even notice the thunderstorm that passed through overnight. Overall, it was OK for an overnight stay, but would've been unacceptable for longer visit.

Short walk from hotel
Cracker Barrel is just across the street, out the back door. Other fast-food a short drive away.
