great location, great value
I liked how I could adjust the AC to my comfort. The beds and pillows were comfortable; I had a great nights sleep. I really appreciated the complimentary breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. They provided me with a map of downtown and showed me where everything was. The lobby was large and calming. The location of the hotel was close to downtown, the arboretum, Biltmore, everything. The bathroom was large, with a large mirror and plenty of space to put things. They used energy saver bulbs in the lamps, this made me happy.

Great, clean hotel close enough to downtown
I was a little worried because our room was really close to the lobby, but noise wasn't an issue at all. Average free breakfast... nothing special. Nice staff. Super clean.

Stayed at better Hampton Inn's
Must of hit a bad weekend. Loaded with kids coming in fro a soccer ternament. A lot of kids screaming, slamming doors, and running up and down the hallways until Midnight. This Hampton isn't the quietest to begin with. Even when it is quiet, you can still hear water running and doors slamming. I still Like Hampton Inn's generally but I wouldn't stay at this one again.

Mom & son trip
my son & I had a great weekend in Asheville. There is much to do there and the location of the hotel was great. The breakfast in the morning was an awesome bonus along with the afternoon cookies. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the hottub. We will definitely revisit this hotel when in Asheville.

Nice Location for Turning Right
The hotel is nicely situated above the main street in a quiet, wooded area. Although we arrived before the designated check in time, the staff was very helpful in securing a room. The room was clean. The pool was not ever very crowded and we enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck outside of the pool area. There was plenty of room and styles of seating for breakfast. We've stayed at other (more expensive) hotels in Asheville that have done a better job at restocking the food. The hotel is on a busy road and you must exit to the right (toward the tunnel and downtown area).

Good location, but run down
The hotel was ok, nothing special. A little run down. Nice hot tub and pool. [...] We booked two rooms for 4 people, and for some reason, one of the rooms was a handicapped accessible room with only one double bed. The desk agent said she was "locked out" of the system and could not change us to another room because we booked through [...]. I think this was bull, but we were too tired to argue the point.

Great weekend stay
Our stay at the Hampton Inn in Asheville, NC was a great experience. The room was very clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was excellent. There was a waffle iron in the lobby for D.I.Y. waffles and they had fresh cut up fruit which was tasty and an array of cereals and english muffins and omlets. WOW! They had some renovations going on in the lobby but not even an issue. We had a very comfy stay and will definitely be back.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
It's a short drive to the cool downtown attractions. Tunnel rd turns into College st which is where some of the cool shops and cafes are, however, the River Art District is great to visit for artisan crafts and art classes.

terrible customer service
[...] While I will continue to consider Hampton in future travels, I will not stay at the Hampton in Asheville, NC. I ended up booking with Holiday Inn and was very happy with my stay.

Asheville
The staff were very helpful and friendly, even going as far as bringing around a basket of mint boxes during breakfast, which was top notch and complete with 2 waffle makers. That being said, the room had a double bed and was not as nice as it should have been for $260/night. Instead of staying here, spend $50 more and stay at the Renaissance Asheville downtown. Much better hotel and location.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
We did the Brews Cruise, a tour of 3-4 of the breweries in Asheville. Lots of fun and a good education in beer!
