Nice hotel... needs employees
Iam A Sam Dec 21, 2009
Hotel made an attempt to clone Santa Fe/Taos NM but came up short. Things like hogh end clocks not working, pictures in the ... $3-4,000 bracket for sale everywhere, but the staff was so desperate for money that they messed everything up. Breakfast was fancy there, but spoiled by the time it was served cold.
Traveler type: Family
Everything is close by if you have allot of money for items. They tried to mimic Santa Fe/Taos NM seeking high rollers with flair and pricing in the 4 figures, but lack the experience with minimum wage workers who have no talent for the work being performed.

This was a one night stay to see the Flower carpet at the Biltmore Estate which turned into an awesome retreat at this ... beautifully appointed hotel. A must see for all that come to Asheville. Along with the Inn on the Estate. If you like upscale this is for you!

Lovely hotel with great service
ASK123 Aug 15, 2009
The hotel is lovely and gorgeous, and the service is wonderful. The only downside is that our room looked directly onto a ... highway, so that was not particularly pleasant. We had to keep the shades drawn to block the highway lights. Other than that, I highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff very professional and attentive. The restaurant offers a variety of wonderful food. The ... only thing that was not perfect was the train noise with the tracks being only 1 block from the hotel

Great experience!
Redheaded Czech Jun 29, 2009
This hotel is wonderful - perfect for couples. From the personalized check-in service to the beautiful room to the friendly, ... helpful staff, it was an experience we will always remember. This is not a cookie-cutter chain experience but for someone who wants something a little different. The only inconvenience is the walk across the street if you stay in the manor house as we did. But even in the rain, it was not that big a deal.

Watchout for the "incidentals" charges
Bonnie May 23, 2009
was happy with the overall service however, at check in they requested a card for incidentals - they incorrectly charged me ... again for the entire room charge stay as well as $100.00 a day for "incidentals" on top of the daily room charge which I had already paid...when I went to use my card for a meal it was then "declined" as over the limit ($1000.00) - when I called the credit card company they told me the hotel was "holding" that much in charges against my card...needless to say I was not happy! The hotel made a call and released the charges the next day at my prompting but the embarrassment of "declined" experience at a very expensive restuarant left me with a very bad taste. And a "free breakfast" didn't exactly make up for it in my mind. Other than that, the rest of my hotel experience was very nice.

The Korner Kitchen - a little restuarant in a small cottage three blocks down from the hotel - fabulous food - nice atmosphere - reasonably priced. The dinner menu was outstanding and the desserts were out of this world. It was written up in "Southern Living" as an amazingly surprising place to eat. And I agree

The perfect place to stay when visiting Biltmore Estate: Across from the entrance to the Estate in Biltmore village. Walk to ... delightful shops and a stop for the trolley tour; short drive to downtown Asheville. Hotel is new & beautiful; food was very good too! Highly recommended. Would stay there again.

Enjoy this Rustic Retreat.
MJ May 3, 2009
After spending the whole day at Biltmore, we spent the night at this wonderful hotel. It is new, rustic style and just great. ... Money well spent. The room was beautiful. My husband was not crazy about the curtain around the bath room but I thought they are nice. The staff is friendly. you have to use valet parking at $15 so you have to tip every time you need to get your car..

Down town is cute. Had dinner in mellow mashroom. Price is great and food is excellent. It is a bit too hippie for my taste but overall good.

Bohemian Hotel Asheville NC
Teche Girl May 3, 2009
This hotel is located across the street from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. There are plenty of activities available ... such as hiking, biking, horseback riding. The only disappointment was the unavailability of kayaking because the outfitter did not start doing trips on weekdays until end of May. Kayaking is available at Biltmore Estate, but advanced reservations were necessary. Otherwise, this was a spectacular place to stay and a beautiful part of the United States.

Amazing new hotel. Gas lit courtyard, and five star accomodations. Quality exceeded the Biltmore hotel. Room had an all ... stone bathroom including a soaker tub with double doors above the tub level that opened up into the room. All the lights had dimmers. Plasma tv, good bedding, to art on the walls..
