Awesome hotel, excellent value
The hotel is located right on the edge of downtown Asheville. This equates to a five to ten minute walk to shops, restaurants, etc. and free parking for those with cars. Our room was spacious and modern. Staff were friendly, curious and helpful. I couldn't image getting much more at the price we paid.

Short walk from hotel
Tupelo Honey is a "must do" when in Asheville. Avoid going on weekends, when the wait can be 1-2 hours for a table. When there, order the sweet potato pancakes - you'll be glad you did.

Very Clean and Great Location!!!
We had a wonderful visit at this, our first, 4 Points by Sheraton Hotel. The rooms have been renovated and are very nice for an inexpensive hotel. The flat screen LCD TV on the wall was a nice touch. My partner is a stickler for cleanliness and he was most impressed with this hotel. The location was exceptional if you wish to visit and play downtown. You can walk safely to this hotel to avoid the possible brush with the law if you have over-indulged during your evening out. There were two issues that we found. The first was the room was a little loud when the neighbor had the TV turned up due to the "adjoining room" divide not being insulated effieciently. The second was that the shower head was a little funky (wouldn't stay in place) but otherwise, this place was great for a short visit.[...]

Challenging due to Orbitz and the Hotel
We booked the room specifically for a concert at the Biltmore Estate. However, the show was cancelled due to an illness by the performer. I e-mailed Orbitz explaning the situation and requested a refund or some other form or consideration. In responce, Orbitz indicated that the rooms cancellation was per the hotels and nothing could be done. Upon arriving, the hotel understood the cicumstances, I was disappointed that Orbitz did not understand and not willing to work with me on the situation. Also, as mentioned above the bath tub began to fill with water and debris late at night. This not only woke us up but we could not use the tub/shower in the morning due to the condition.

Unpleasant Surprises
I booked a room with a king-size bed for our romantic getaway. We had to bring our dogs along due to a last-minute problem with the sitter, and called ahead to be sure that it would be alright (which the man at the hotel assured be would be no problem). After getting the go-ahead, we made the trip to NC. Upon arrival, I find out that the pet fee is $75 AND we were given a room with 2 double beds. The woman at the counter said that I booked it that way, and that all the king rooms were booked and we would have to deal with it. She offered me a free breakfast buffet for 2 the next day to make up for the inconvenience. I asked her to waive the pet fee, because its a big inconvenience for us to spend a couples weekend in a double bed. She said she cant waive the fee, its for "deep cleaning" (b.s.), but she can give 2 days of the buffet to us. That was a bit better (being a $40 value, and the food was good). The room was nice, and the trip was certainly not ruined.

Long walk from hotel
Eat the towns best (and most authentic) Japanese food and sushi at Wasabi, in downtown Asheville. The food is excellent (huge cuts of the freshest fish, elegant and artistic arrangements), wonderful service, great prices.

Inconsistent...
Every aspect of this hotel is hit or miss. The staff is inconsistent. Checking in we had a "trainee" who apparently needs a lot more training ā she was very rude and seemed to be bothered by our presence. The 2nd person we dealt with, when we had a problem with our room and asked for a new room after the 1st night, was the complete opposite; she was terrific, very helpful and professional!! The rooms are inconsistent. The first room we had, we had a lumpy soft bed and AC that didn't work. The 2nd room we had the bed was better and the AC at least functioning and controllable. What was consistent? Very small, somewhat dirty rooms, tiny bathrooms with no ventilation whatsoever (don't take a hot shower; everything gets wet!), flat pillows, sheets that don't fit the bed and rickety old elevators. Although the furniture has been recently updated, the entire place feels like a motel from the 70s. For the price we paid for it, I would not stay there again!

Fantastic getaway!
We chose Four Points in Asheville to get away for the weekend and spend a little quality time together. This was a perfect location for us. The hotel is beautiful and very clean! The staff is very friendly and they have a great fitness room and pool. We were in walking distance to downtown Asheville where we found great restaurants and live music venues. We wish we could have stayed longer! The only problem we incountered is the noise. We could hear people walking up and down the halls, in their rooms and out at the pool. I suppose this is an issue with most hotels. We will certainly stay again!

Ok
We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The location was within walking distance to great dining, bars, and shopping. However, the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The bed was uncomfortable with a terrible roll to the center and it was impossible to wash your face in the bathroom sink due to the design of the faucet. The cost for what should have been a continental breakfast was $10! The nightly rate for the room far exceeded the amenities.
