Good location. Old Hotel.

Would recommend Sun, Nov 3, 2013
I was expecting a little more for the price we paid for this hotel. It is simply an old hotel that was given a quick make-over with fresh paint and a new TV. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great - just off Broadway.

Another Great Stay!

Would recommend Thu, Aug 22, 2013
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years....and the one constant is that the staff is always great. Especially the hotel reservation staff at the front desk. They are always great to work with. The hotel has been recently renovated, which has made a good hotel experience into a very good hotel experience. Prior to the renovation, the wireless internet service was atrocious and the elevator sounded like a locomotive (especially at the lower level). But now the internet is much better (not great but really good)....and you can barely hear the elevator. I stayed in a room right next to the elevator in my previous stay...and I could barely hear anything. Anyway...if you want a really good place to stay where you can walk throughout downtown Asheville, NC...then there really is not a better value or option...unless you want to overpay for one of the other "newer" urban-yuppie hotels (they are typically $50-$100 more expensive than the Four Points...and not a significant upgrade).

Dining

If you want Sushi or Asian Cuisine....then I would recommend Champa Aisian Cuisine & Sushi Bar....which is at 3 Biltmore Ave. When I am not in the mood for Sushi....I typically eat at another wonderful place called Salsa's Mexican Caribbean Restaurant....which is 6 Patton Ave. Both of these places are in the middle of downtown...near the intersection of Patton and Biltmore...which is a short walk from the Four Points.

Great Location

The hotel was right off the interstate and also walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Downtown Asheville. The staff was very helpful and the room was very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again!

Dining

The Early Girl Eatery was great for breakfast/brunch!

Downtown location

Would recommend Wed, Aug 14, 2013
Great location. Smelly common areas, but nice clean rooms. It looks like the rooms were redone, but not the hallways etc. so once you leave your rooms it smells moldy. Otherwise, a good value for staying right in downtown.

Not a bad hotel

Would not recommend Sat, Jun 15, 2013
If you're looking for a downtown Asheville hotel this is not a bad option. Even though its in downtown don't let that fool you. Most places still need a short car ride or a good walk to get to. Pros: location, outdoor pool, right off interstate Cons: mildew smell, view was HORRIBLE (asked for a city view and literally looking straight at A/C unit and wall, laughable)

Attractions

Go to the Biltmore and allow at least one full day or two days if possible. The grounds alone are enough to take a full day.

Breweries and Vegan Restaurants

Would recommend Thu, Jun 13, 2013
I had a good experience in Asheville. Lots of local beer and many vegan choices to eat at restaurants, which is what I was looking for. Walking can be a bit challenging since it is nothing but steep rolling hills there. The hotel was a good location on the edge of downtown near a highway exit. There are some more centrally located hotels but nothing is very far away.

Dining

Plant Restaurant, nothing but vegan food.

Good for downtown

Would recommend Mon, May 20, 2013
The hotel was situated right downtown Asheville, great for being able to walk to all of the shopping, entertaining and dining establishments. When we checked in, there was trash in our room and dirty towels in the bathroom, but other than that - it was a nice enough hotel. The staff was friendly. I thought it was a little pricey for Asheville, but to be able to walk home from dinner and not have to drive, it was worth it.

Great Location & Staff!

Would recommend Thu, Apr 25, 2013
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times during business trips to Asheville. The #1 asset of this facility has always been the very helpful staff...especially at the front desk. Also, the location is great to enjoy all that downtown Asheville has to offer....most notable the really good restaurants and bars. And the "Chop House" restaurant at the hotel has great food and a nice bar...so you can stay in and eat as well. It is typically a cheapest downtown alternative....unless you don't mind staying in a sleep cheap type hotel (but there are not many of those either). They are currently renovating the place...and it has made it an even better choice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone not wanting to spend $150-$200 a night for a hotel in downtown Asheville. The rates are typically $99-$119 depending on the time of year.

Dining

If you want a great and relatively affordable food option....give Salsa's a try. For great Asian Cuisine/Sushi....Champa is a great option.
