Asheville Doubletree

The hotel was just average with a large price tag. I have stayed at the two hotels across the street for less than half the price of this one and they had more to offer me. I expected a larger room with a refrigerator. The room was clean but could have been cleaner. Such as the hair dryer was dirty, stains on the carpet and finger prints on the windows. I was not impressed with the TGI's in the hotel either. I have also stayed in nicer Double Trees thats why I paid the money hoping for a nice trip to Asheville for a special occasion. Now I wish I had pocketed the extra cash and stayed at the Baymont!

DoubleTree

When we checked in and got to the room, it had not been cleaned. Through-out (what should have been a 3 day stay) our 2 day stay in a non-smoking room/section of the hotel, people were smoking in the hallway and out on the balconey. Once the room was cleaned it was enjoyable and relaxing until some of the others guest started smoking.

Great location

We wanted a good quality hotel in close driving distance to the Biltmore. The Doubletree was just what we wanted. The only complaint was that the air conditioner in our room was noisier than expected.

Great weekend Trip

Nice Hotel. Love the chocolate chip cookies!! Room was nice and clean. We were near the elevator but that was not a problem from a noise perspective. They charge you $3 for the use of the safe. Would definitely stay there again.

The BEST Place to stay!

This hotel is the best out of all of them to stay if you are going on a trip to Asheville. It's right next to the Builtmore Estate and just a few milesfrom the downtown area. You are just a 10 minute drive from the Airport. We stayed in the newly built "Tower" part of the hotel. The rooms were amazing, clean and the balcony allowed us to come back to the room and relax. The shower and the toiletries were so nice! Super clean and neat! It was so quiet! I did lots of research and can't understand why this hotel is not rated #1. The only problem was they have some super perfume type smell in the new lobby that almost makes you sick as you walk in but….once we got in the elevator we didn't smell it at all. STAY HERE!

Not Great...Not Bad...

Hotel was very close to Biltmore. Location right off major interstates. Not great but good for what it is. Could be more price competitive for area. Breakfast available for a nominal fee...should be included based on what you pay.
