Super friendly staff, awesome breakfast.
Breakfast selection included make your own Belgian waffles. Delicious. Front desk staff was super friendly. My kids were cold after getting out of the pool one afternoon, so I headed over to the breakfast area to see if the hot chocolate packets were still available. They had been put away, but the woman staffing the front desk asked what I needed and sent me off with cocoa packets. Biggest annoyance was the lack of recycling bins.

the way it was
Don't care for their "green" policy of not washing the sheets. Fan in bathroom doesn't work. No coffee pot in room. Door to room is loose in it's fixture and kept knocking during the night as the wind blew.

Great Place
We were tired after a long day. The Motel was easy to find and the room was very nice. A request for a good place to eat resulted in a very good meal at a reasonable price and was appreciated. The room was very nice and up to date, as well as clean. The beds were VERY comfortable. There was no noise and that is always a plus with me. Of the 5 Best Westerns we stayed at, it would be tied with the 2nd best place. The beds were very comfortable. (Best one was at Williamsburg, VA)

Perfectly Adequate
Decent room, reasonable price, nice staff, good pool. Breakfast OK, not spectacular. Reasonable access to both town and country.

Great stay for the price.

Excellent value and very comfortable.
Good location. Very comfortable bed and free breakfast was very good. Staff was polite and helpful. Staff provided directions to downtown area where we visited the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Home, many unique shops and beautiful park areas. We did not have enough time to tour the Biltmore but purchased wine at the Biltmore Gift Shop.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Drove and walked around the downtown shopping district. Many unique shops to visit. You should consider visiting the Biltmore or at least the Biltmore gift shop if your time is limited. We are planning a return trip in the summer to enjoy the gardens at the Biltmore.
