More than Expected

Only spent one night but after an overnight train ride with little to no sleep this was a very appreciated rest stop for our group. Excellent lodge, only a minor problem with the pool but that wasn't bad. Highly recommended. Will stay again!

Spectacular in everyway

How can you miss with views of the beautiful mountains and an amazing lakefront. On top of this majesty, the hotel is top notch with excellent amenities yet rustic in atmosphere and ambiance. It is top of my list for great hotels, and I am a world traveler. A must do for anyone in the area of Glacier National Park!

Great value for money

After many days in cheap motels my friends were very relieved to stay at this place. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are huge, the food served is excellent. Will definitely come back whenever I can.

Perfect Winter Retreat

I travel a great deal and the Lodge at Whitefish Lake, Montana was one of the more memorable stays. The staff are exceptional and hotel ammenities are just right. Food and drink are excellent but note, expensive. This is a hotel that treats its clients as if it were an exclusive resort. However, the winter is the "off season". You can ski nearby and there are many other outdoor winter events to keep you busy, but again it is the off season and the hotel is not exceptionally busy. i suspect that the hotel becomes very busy in the summer and perhaps service may suffer, but I do not know.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There are many places to dine in the small town of Whitefish. Prices are moderately high around town but I was never disappointed with any meal or serivce. Try the Buffalo Grill for breakfast and Second Street Pizza for dinner (lots more than pizza). There is also a local brew pub with excellent suds. Also, take in Glacier Distillery (Town of Coram and on the way to Glacier Park) for small-batch Montana-made Whiskey.
