Duck Inn condos are across town but fine
We stayed at a condo apartment, not at the Inn. The condo was across town in cozy Whitefish Montana. The condo was fine, about 1 1/2 blocks from the public beach on Whitefish Lake, nearer to the ski resort than the Inn actually -- although we were there in the summer for day hikes in Glacier National Park, about 20 miles east. This worked well. We also visited the ski resort at Big Mountain and the larger town of Kalispell. We had a great week and the condo was a great base for visiting the area. The town of Whitefish is picturesque with many inexpensive places to eat. Believe it or not, good food at the Bowling Alley on the main road into town. Also, the Red Caboose downtown was good.

Deceived and Disappointed
When we arrived at the hotel we were told we were not staying at this location. We were redirected to an apartment complex which was our "condo". We had to beg for towels, there was no maid service to empty trash or change linens during our entire stay. None of the amenities described on the website was provided to us...ie breakfast, internet service, fireplace, etc. The entire package was totally misrepresented. This was a complete disappointment when you think you are making arrangements to stay on location at the Inn.

A great base for exploring Glacier!
Glacier Park is somewhere everyone should experience, and the Duck Inn was a perfect base! An incredibly comfortable room and friendly staff made our visit almost perfect .. a staff member even pointed us in the direction of some successful huckleberry picking on the Danny On Trail!

Matt's Wedding Stay
It was very nice. The room was a little small but it was right on the river with a great view. The bed was amazing I've never slept better. I loved the jaccuzi tube. We were there for a friends wedding which I was in so we didn't spend much time there but when we did it was great.

Unbeatable location for the price
Very hospitable. Owner even went out & purchased my husband's favorite beer and gave it to him-- for free! Also has FREE long distance. Continental breakfast is included at 7am, so we thought we were out of luck, since we had to leave to catch a train at 6:45am. She surprised us as she laid out the breakfast at 6 am
