Convenient to UM, Missoula and Airport

Moved my daughter into U of Montana and spent a lot of time downtown which is convenient to hotels location. Ran along Clark ... Fork River trails across the street from hotel. Numerous restaurants within 5 minute drive of hotel and only 10 minutes to Missoula Airport.

Good location to downtown Missoula but quiet, no street noise. Would definitely stay here again. Price included a free ... shuttle to airport (on demand, my son went out at 0500, we left later at 10am. Nice continental breakfast. Room was large and comfortable. Great deal!

Quiet and restful!

Orbitz offered me a 24% discount on a hotel restaurant that doesn't exist!We had a restful and nice stay at this hotel ... however... I had to request maid service on my 3rd day at 5:00 PM and the desk mgr was trying to get me to agree to no maid service that day the nexy day before I left I reminded the desk that I needed maid service and they did but towels and made beds is about all they do the desk staff is intermittent in their service some are friendly some aren't and they don't man desk much after 10:00 PM

.Visit the region . staff friendliness and eagerness to satisfy the clients . lousy service, room not cleaned until ... notified . manager not ready to extend stay although room kept aside for us.although club members he asked for much higher rates for week days! whereas in previous Red Lion hotels, everything was alright

We stay in Missoula once or twice a year when traveling to Havre. I decided to try Orbitz.com after being unhappy with ... Econ-o-lodge (sp) and not wanting to jump in and out of the car checking other motels. So glad I did! For about the same price, we had a MUCH nicer and way more comfortable room. We will definitely use Orbitz again and will most probably stay at Red Lion in Missoula again. The furniture was a bit scuffed but, hey, it's not new. It was polished anyway and nice looking overall. I liked the two sinks and plenty of counter space. The bed was absolutely the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a motel. Reminded me of my Grama's feather bed. A nice touch was the bottled water labeled "Water for the Soul". I thought "How very kind" but then noticed the $2 charge to the final bill if we used it. So, thanks anyway, but we drank our own water.

The Chinese Restaurant next door looked very nice so not having had Chinese in a while we went for dinner. The food was okay but not really great. We were one of two couples in the place altho others came in and ordered out while we were there. I will say that our server was really great--friendly but not obnoxious. Noticed that the flower beds around the place were full of weeds. And the windows really needed washing. We probably wouldn't go back to the resturant again.

Really nice room. Upscale decor and furnishings. Double sinks so husband and wife don't have to fight over one. Great ... pillow top mattress. We did not use the pool or hot tub because they are outside and it was cold when we were there. The motel is easy to find if you don't mind getting away from the interstate and traveling downtown. I would certainly stay there again.
