Good value for the money

We just needed a place to sleep and was not looking for a lot of amenities. It was clean, easy access to downtown, the freeways, and a supermarket. Rooms clean, and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Hot tub not working was a disappointment.

Nice room but not very pleasant outside area. No hot tub available and no pool towels.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

Hotel doesn't look like much but the rooms are nice - not sumptuous but more than adequate. The bed was great. The hotel staff was terrific. Very cheerful and helpful. The blow dryer died and they came up right away and changed it out. The maintenance guy was on it! The laundry room was clean and they had free detergent. :) Don't let the two stars fool you. The hotel looks a little weathered but parking lot was clean and they salted it when it iced over. I enjoyed my stay!

Food for Thought - a cafe across from the Univ. of Montana. Generous portions of great home-style food!

Good hotel for the price.

The hotel was clean and above average for a 2 star hotel. Breakfast was good. One of our rooms had to be changed because the A/C did not work, the staff was very friendly and changed our room immediately. One of the rooms had some issue with noisy partiers in the middle of the night (college town).

Easy and close to things

Room and service were good. Had trouble with a key to an ice room and the breakfast wasn't too great. But overall, for a weekend in Missoula, this worked well.

Right Price. Nice Place.

We were in Missoula to visit family and there were to many of us, to stay with family , so we stayed at the Red Lion. It was very nice and clean. The room was well kept. My only downer was no indoor pool or hot tub. We did not eat the breakfast wo I can't report. I would stay again.

Okay for a night

Expected a hotel, got a motel, of which we are not big fans and try to avoid. Worked out fine for our one-night stay as we were traveling through, but would not like to stay here any longer than that. The place was clean and convenient though.

Reasonable price for the location

I go to Missoula at least twice a year for business, wanted something reasonable in walking distance to my clients. This is right on the edge of the downtown core, next to the medical center. Very much your typical Red Lion room, though lacking refrigerator and microwave (as other reviewers have noted). Breakfast is now included with the room rate, though it's very minimal (eggs on the hot bar only one morning out of three). I'd stay there again.

Comfortable hotel

This is a nice, clean hotel in a central area of Missoula so it's really easy to get around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I would have is add minibars or at least refrigerators to the rooms. I come to Missoula frequently to visit family. This is becoming the hotel I prefer in this area. Also, it is not terribly expensive.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a large grocery store next to the hotel. I have found that really convenient for picking up odds and ends.
