the hotel was o.k. we are used to having a continental breakfast and misse d having that.it was nice to have it attached to ... the mall . we felt it was false advertising in that we had a coupon which said we would receive 24% off our stay but were told it was for our next stay which likely won't happen so they are pretty safe advertising 24% off.

The hotel was very comfortable for the end of a long day. We would unwind in the great indoor swimming pool or we sat in the ... open courtyard where they had a fire pit.

poor choice of hotel
Claudette Nov 18, 2008
This hotel is not clean. The window sill had tons of dead flies. A bug fell down from theceiling. The bathroom had stains ... on the ceiling. The location, although near a mall is very noisy. The whole place is fated and depressing and needs a significant upgrade and redo. The restaurant associated with the hotel is awful. The hotel charges for use of their internet.
Traveler type: Business
Try Capers. The mall next door is not worth the bother. Down the street is a major thoroughfare with lots of smaller shope, reswtaurant, and coffee shops!

Friendly People, Great Location
Judith Oct 19, 2008
The Kalispell Red Lion was the perfect location for the short amount of time I had to explore the area. It is centrally ... located and within walking distance of the downtown area as well as galleries and restaurants. The room was ample, amenities surpassed my expectations, and the staff was friendly and offered suggestions that were well received. The location appears to be great for conventions or meetings, which offers a glimpse into the interests of this town. Being so close to a shopping mall was a great asset as well. My only complaint would be the street noise on a Saturday night was audible, our room faced the street, but the location also afforded a nice view during the day. Kids must enjoy dragging the main street, which in some ways harkend back to a less technical time. I plan on returning for a longer stay next year and will definitely consider staying at the Kalispell Red Lion again.

A wonderful cafe' near by with home baked bread, fresh ingredients, innovative (but family friendly-love the fries)menu and excellent beverages. The service was excellent, appears to be a local favorite.

My review of Red Lion Hotel Kalispell
anita Feb 3, 2008
The Red Lion Hotel was confortable. We enjoyed the pool, sauna, dining room and fireplaces. The hotel was so well situated ... in the heart of town, we were able to get where we need to go with no trouble. It was snowy and the parking and driveways were kept clear. The staff was very accomadating with direction, and supplied all the necessities the airlines confiscated. We have stayed in several hotels in Kasispell and the Red Lion was the best so far.

The mall made shopping and dining easy as it was cold outside and we were able to walk from our room to the stores without going outside.

great distortion
claude May 13, 2007
The lobby well decorated would heve been much more comfortable and inviting had the fire been lit in the magnificent fire ... place. Nothing wrong with the comfortable room. Very nice swimming pool. The disaster starts when you come to the dining room which looks more than a boxing ring with, at night , a desolated look on the dark tunnel of the adjacent closed shopping-mall.Very depressive atmosphere. The dinner service is deplorable and non professional (one has to wait more than 15 minutes to obtain a glass of wine which has to come from the next door casino, due to the fact the barmaid there, is finishing smoking her cigarette - personal experience-). Food is OK .
