overnight stay

It is a little challenging to get to the motel since it is on a one way. We were concerned about the possiblity of traffic noise, but it was very quiet. They had all the amenities promised, was very clean and fresh. It is an older motel, but things were in good repair. The staff was friendly and efficient. My husbands only complaints were the complimentary soaps/shampoo, he is allergic to aloe based products and we had no remote for the TV. We would definately stay here again.

Shilo Inn Helena

The hotel was clean and comfortable but was no frills. Since I got in at mid-night and out by 10, it was what I was looking for. The price was fair. The Continental Breakfast was not very good.

Not bad

A little old, but the room was ok. No elevator. Bed was nice, but outlets were not in convenient locales for my laptop and the microwave and coffeemaker. Nice to have a hot tub and pool, but it's a small place and kids overran it, so I skipped it. Didn't know how to use steam room (couldn't get it to steam). It was an okay place for the price, but not sure I'd stay there again.

Older but not so better

After traveling 5.5 hours to get to Helena, we did not enjoy the lumpy beds - time for a matress upgrade. Shower head was pitiful. From our room, it appears that general updating/replacing of worn out fixtures would be a good idea. The room was clean - as a person with allergies to room fresheners, I would can the thick spray of room deodorizer to greet the patrons.

nice hotel

I checked in in the afternoon and the staff at that time was wonderful, very helpful. They suggested a restaurant that was very good. The hotel is a little awkward to get into if you are coming from one direction-one way street-so that was a challenge. There was a small problem with the tv but the staff came to the room to show how to use the controller, which was great. Overall the hotel was wonderful.

There is a great restaurant just a short distance from the hotel. Shopping is up the street if you need something and it is close to the airport.

Clean and reasonably priced

This was the least expensive hotel in Helena (other than real dumps). Fairly clean (a few hairs in the shower). Continental breakfast was pretty skimpy. Staff was friendly, but not real informative about things like restaurants. Overall, an average motel experience.
