Motel 6 Helena

Desk staff in evening treated me as though I was being done a favor. Snooty, After paying for WiFi had it turned off 14 minutes before close of online auction while I was bidding on Motor home. Front desk was insulting and "GAVE" me the service I had already paid for.By the time I got it turned back on the bidding was over and I lost the chance to place my last bid and lost the item that I had been involved with for several hours. I have stayed at this motel for years and looked forward to another stay. I will never book at this motel again and recommend Super 8 instead. I checked out a day early due to my utter disappointment with motel chain caused by one employee.

We visited Helena on the way up to Canada, hoping to spend the Fourth of July in some genuine American towns. This was an ideal location for that purpose, but I was surprised at how expensive motels are, including this one. The room was fine: small but reasonably equipped. It did not include a bathtub. Motel 6 seems to have lost its way in terms of pricing and facilities, but they do provide a reliable, clean place to stay.

I danced at the state annual festival. Picked this hotel for price and availability since Memorial day filled some others. [...]reserved it at $3.00 over the big posted price on site. Lobby reeked with stale smoke and guys were smoking in it. Pool area was continually busy with loud people who seemed to stay, probably connected to the several junk vehicles that parked in the front lot. Maid smoked up my non-smoking room while I was dancing. Didn't even spread up the bed, just left me with a headache from the smoke.

The room was simple but clean. It serves its purpose of a place to sleep and shower. Convenient location. Our only problem was that the deadbolt did not work and our door was blown wide open several times during the night. There were high winds but I've lived in Oklahoma during tornado season and never had a door blown open like that! When I informed the staff, I don't think they could have cared less.

The room was clean and the TV worked. They were flexible with us to get us a non-smoking room which we appreciated. The walls were a little thin, but other than that it was a good stay.

Even though older the hotel was very quiet. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The non-smoking room was clean yet there was an overwhelming old smoke odor in the room as well as some non-descript odors.

Good location & great rates! Comfortable bed.

The most unsatisfactory part was the cleanliness and upkeep of our room. The floors needed vacuumed in the corners, the corners along the walls were dirty and full of cobwebs, the inside of the main door was filthy, the was no phone book, paper or pen and the toilet made a loud scary noise when it flushed. The price was the only good thing about this hotel. Would not recommend to anybody and definitely would not stay there again.
