horrible - avoid at all costs
This was one of the worst business trips I have ever had. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns before and never had a problem. First of all, I was given a room with two queen beds after I had reserved a king. The wireless internet access worked only sporadically. The housekeeping staff was horrible, interrupting and knocking on the door and slamming doors up the hallway all morning while I was trying to work in my room. The "business center" has two computers; neither one of them would print (after I had to ask for paper to load in them) and the web connection was very slow. When I asked for help, the night clerk said he would after watching his movie. The pool was very hot one day and freezing the next. The breakfast was next to inedible; I had to settle for yogurt as the fruit was half rotten, and the eggs/hash/cheese was a glob of fat. The whole hotel smells of mildew. The staff says they are eager to help, but when I complained they did nothing. I hope this location is not representative of the chain as a whole because this experience was unacceptable, and I have stayed at many Hamptons over the years.

Short walk from hotel
The only advantage to the location is that it is close to the freeway and there is a small G0-cart track nearby. Otherwise there is nothing to do anywhere near the hotel.

Great value and friendly service
We stayed here a couple of nights before heading out to Yellowstone. We had stayed at a Hampton in D.C. and loved it, so when I saw this one in Billings I booked it right away. The location is good, although I don't think there's a bad location in Billings since it's so small. The beds were comfortable as always and the service was very friendly. It only took about 3 minutes to check in which was nice since we had the kids. The free breakfast is always great although they didn't have as much of a variety as the next place we stayed although considering what it saves you it's worth it. The pool and hot tub were nice although many of the areas feature hotels with slides, etc. and this one was more traditional. Overall we had a great experience once again at a Hampton Hotel and will definitely stay at another one in another city.

Wonderful Hotel
This Hampton Inn is a little difficult to find but our TomTom took us right to it. The weight room was small but very adequate. The pool was beautiful with a nice, adjacent hot tub. Our room was very clean and I really appreciated the make-up remover towelettes in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the hot cookies each night. They had a different hot breakfast every morning so we really enjoyed their variety. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved Famous Dave's restaurant. We ordered the small feast and we were delighted when they brought it out on a garbage can lid. Very tasty with five different kinds of barbecue sauce.
