Old facility
Thin walls, sagging chairs that sink below room table, and very noisy "on/off" heater mechanism that disrupts sleep (same in friend's room). Staff cooking in the lobby made it smell greasy upon arrival.

Needs a cleaning staff
The first room we were given was just plain dirty and the bed linens were really bad. We asked for a second room only to find that one bed had acceptable linens and the second bed had clean but stained linens. The room itself was just plain dirty. The room needed vacumned and carpets were really bad. The desk clerk who was great to work with gave us a refund and we moved on.

Great location, room not so great
Great location to downtown. Room was very small, old, and not that clean. Staff was very friendly however. The place should be completely remodeled. Diner next to the motel had great food.

Fun to stay in a historic landmark
Real glasses were a nice touch, but bathroom fan was noisy; staff much friendlier in the morning; this will be really nice when the alley is no longer under construction.

Nice location and rate, Not great room
Great location in downtown Billings, near the Montana Brewing Company for dinner/drinks. Friendly and helpful service, providing assistance in finding out which roads were closed due to flooding on our route to Glacier National Park. However, room smelled like it had been a smoking room in the past and the bed was quite hard/uncomfortable. Probably would still stay again due to the good rate and the novelty of the name, Dude Rancher Lodge, but not the best room.
