Big Fan of Big Sky
Rustically beautiful, a great getaway!
We were visiting family in Big Sky, and had the superb pleasure of staying at the River Rock Lodge. The décor was rustic, as one would expect of Montana, but beautifully appointed. The room was exceptionally clean, the beds very comfortable, bathrobes were among the many amenities in each room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous! Mountains all around, two villages filled with many shops, services and wonderful dining opportunities. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and many other outdoor activities around the area. There were many families with kids, all ages, who seemed to be enjoying their time here. This is definitely a place to "get away" from everyday chaos. But if you need an urban fix, Bozeman is only 45 minutes from Big Sky via some stunning scenery!

There is a huge variety of great places to eat, from very casual to more expensive. There are no "fast food" chains here, but after sampling the fantastic offerings that are here you may never want "fast food" again!
