Rainbow Hotel and Suites

Birthday night with a friend and it was lovely the stay for the price would love to stay there again..

Staff was nice and room was clean. Would stay again. Easy access to casino.

We really had a good time, we took pictures on the river. We tour some of the sight, we visit and enjoyed the casino. It was a enjoyable stay alway around. No complaints.

We stopped here for the night on the way back from Dallas,Tx. [...]. The diner buffet was ok. The slots we ok. The breakfast was wonderful the next morning for 4.75 a person. We had stayed at Diamonds Jacks before in Shrevport and Vicksburg and the rooms were nicer but not available on this particular trip. Bathroom mirrors were small and not lighted well for the ladies.

WE ALWAYS STAY AT THIS HOTEL. MY EXPERIENCE THIS TIME WAS VERY UNPLEASANT. I FOUND BLOOD ON MY BEDSPREAD AND THE NEXT DAY THE HEATER LIGHT IN THE BATHROOM WAS BROKEN IT WOULDN'T TURN OFF. WE HAD ANTS ON OUR BATHTUB.I REALLY LIKE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT IS VERY CONVEINCE WE VISIT IT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A YEAR.

When we checked in, the person at the desk, tried to change the [...] price that was agreed on. They said that because we had four people that they would have to add $10.00 per person. We had told [...] that we had four people, and a price was given. They checked with [...] online after a manager came in and said they would honor the price. We were about to leave and go somewhere else, that is why the manager checked and said they would honor it. By that time we were so mad, that our blood pressure was up alot, and we had told them that it was false advertising, and we had told them off. Whew! the anger I had. We did have a great view of the Mississippi River, but I would not stay there again.

After ariving found out I did not have a Reservation and was lucky that a room was available. There was no reservation made by Orbitz Confermation #V7HNN2 because of this I will no longer use Orbitz and you can bet that all friends and family is made aware of this. I would like very much that you remove me from any and all future correspondance.

We had a wonderful time. Great location, people were friendly. I loved the view of the Mississippi River.

I picked this hotel because of it's location on the river and ratings that people wrote in. I was looking for a weekend getaway and according to everything on the web, this looked like a perfect spot. When we got to the hotel, the check in staff was VERY friendly and helpful. But it soon went downhill from there. The pool area is ALOT smaller than the pictures would indicate. Though the hot tub was nice. The hotel was overbooked, so they put us in a handicapped room, with the promise of moving us the next day. I thought I'd make the best of it, thinking that they must have an oversized tub and plenty of room. Well I find it hard to believe that room could comfortably allow for wheelchair access, and the tub didn't look any bigger than a regular one. Plus the room had these small flying bugs. One plus for that room was even though it was next to the boiler room, it was surprisingly quiet. The next day, we were moved as promised. It was on the second floor, which I thought would be give us a better view of the river, plus it was a king sized bed room (the other was a full bed, barely big enough for the two of us). There were no bugs,which was a plus, but it was also over some kind of service people entrance and we heard slamming doors and loud talking often. Unless you are a big fan of the casinos (which we are not) and want to go to the buffet, your nearest option for some descent food is 4 exits away! The river view is not particularly pretty and the checkout staff was not very flexible. I had asked for a simple 15 minute extension on the 11am checkout (most hotels that I stay out when I travel have a checkout time of noon) but was told that was impossible due to housekeeping scheduling. So my wife and I hurried as best we could, but did end up leaving the room at about 11:20. The housekeeping wasn't even on our floor by that time so the desk person could have allowed us the extra time, but all she managed to do was add another aggrevation on an over all unspectacular stay. IF our next getaway ever finds us back in Vicksburg, I will be looking for other lodging opportunities.
