Nice staff
The staff is nice at the hotel, but the rooms need to be updated. It is very close to shopping at the mall and pretty good restaurants.

Weary but hospitable
We were in town for a family member's funeral. The hotel was located at the right end of town. The hotel is old and weary but the staff was tremendous. The Jameson has seen better days and is in need of some updating. New furniture, new bathrooms, etc. But beds were comfortable and location is quiet. Close to shopping mall and restaurants.

Chili's is close. It was understaffed when we were there so ordering was slow and food came slowly too. Fast food nearby. Chinese buffet nearby.

Good, but not great
Well, you get what you pay for. While the rooms weren't dirty, the linen/towel service left a LOT to be desired (every day it took them extra time just to bring clean towels, to say nothing of how flimsy they were). The cleaning staff were INCREDIBLY glib and unfriendly, almost as if I were annoying them by asking for clean towels to replace the ones they took - and they would smoke and talk - loudly - on their cell phones (as early as 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday) on walkway just outside of our non-smoking room. Also, the furniture/TV/AC units in the rooms are terribly outdated and in need of an upgrade. There are better options if you're looking for an extended stay in the area, but if you're just looking for 1-2 nights for a place to sleep - this is a good option: not terribly out of the way, and it's reasonably priced.

Nice Visit
The Jameson Inn in Tupelo was a great choice. The rooms were clean and spacious. the pool looked nice; although, it was too cold to swim when I was there. The breakfast was also great! I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay there again if I find myself in Tupelo.

Convenient...Great location for shopping
The Jamison Inn, Tupelo was comfortable. Easy to reach from the highway we came into town on. The staff was friendly and eager to accomodate our needs. I needed to visit the shopping mall that is located right in the parking lot, very convenient!! Yet the area was quiet. We slept very well at night, and did not stay in the room during the day. A continential breakfast was available to us and that is something we enjoy, just a small amount to eat before taking off for the day. We enjoyed staying there.

good location
We selected this hotel based on it's proximity to the Natchez Trace. It is the closest hotel to it, and there aren't a lot of options if you are traveling the Trace. The room was decent and clean, but the outside hallway had a smell of garbage. There are restaurants within walking distance, which was great.

Mediocre
We chose this hotel for its fitness center, which was a joke - most of the equipment was broken and none of it was less than ancient. However, the room was clean and the staff was friendly, except for the maid in the morning who was very insistent on cleaning our room despite us not being out of it yet.

The staff was very nice and helped us resolve the issue. They were extremely nice and helpful for our entire stay. The room was very clean and the cleanup people were nice and helpful with our excess trash. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast area was very nice too.

Fine to stay overnight
This was a night stay for trip which continued on to Arkansa. The room still smell a little of nicotin. That is really the real problem and perhaps the swimming pool was not close to the room
