Great weekday rates.
David Aug 11, 2009
The weekday room rates where great for the room we had. However, the Friday rate increased 4 fold making it about the same ... price as in 5 star hotels I have experienced. The king size bed and bedding was very comfortable! I would say maybe the best in any hotel I've stayed in, including 5 star facilities! While our room and downstair common areas were well maintained, the hallway to our room was very dirty. It was not vacuumed while we were there and appeared not to have been done for some time - maybe weeks. The staff that we met all seemed very friendly and courtious. Overall we had a good time and will likely stay here again. I thought that the buffet's food tasted good though a little overpriced. There are plenty of other choices within walking distance or a short drive.

NICE ROOM BUT...
Disappointed Jul 17, 2009
Overall it was a pleasant stay. However, I have stayed in hotels that were less expensive yet did't charge $12.95 per day ... for internet use. I do lots of work on the internet yet I refused to pay that after spending so much for the room. As far as cleanliness, there was dirt in the corners of the bathroom going out about 4 inches along with a penny lying in the middle of the bathroom for. Was it cleaned after the last guest? WHO KNOWS!!!! The hallway was like walking in an oven. What's the deal?

The hotel was very understaffed for its size. Most of the employees tried very hard to help, but they were stretched too ... thin. The hotel maids did not do a very good job cleaning and refilling the supplies in our room. We had to request toilet paper twice in a four day stay. The wait staff in the buffet was excellent, but the food was only fair and the desserts were inedible. The room rate was very, very reasonable and it was a nice large room.

beautiful room for a reasonable rate
Nancy Nov 26, 2008
Our room was very spacious and very nicely decorated. I loved the large plasma tv and enjoyed the individual cup coffee ... maker. However the layout of the Hotel was a little confusing and it was a very long walk from the elevator to our room. It was not a problem for us, but it would be difficult for people not used to walking. When we first went to our assigned room we found a do not distrub sign on the door and our key would not work. A houskeeper who was working nearby assisted us in determining that we had been given a room that was already occupied. When we went back to the front desk to get a new room assignment the desk clerk left me with the impression that we had done something wrong or were making her work harder than necessary. However, every other staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Overall I really enjoyed our stay and would definitey stay there again.

We were extremely pleased with our stay a Tunica Horseshoe. The Valet service when we pulled up was quick and friendly. after ... a very short wait to check in we were pleased to discover that the room was bigger and cleaner than expected. Every staff person we met smiled and was generly willing to help us if needed. Our only complaint was the buffet meal that did not have a lot of appetizing dishes. After dinner we enjoyed ourselves at three different casinos that were all within a short walk away. there was plenty of slots and table games that should appeal to every level of player.

Nice Place to Stay in Tunica
connie May 5, 2008
We have stayed at the Horseshoe before and been pleased. They offer the type of poker that my husband likes to play and that ... is the main reason we stay there. We are less than crazy about the dining options, there is no moderately priced restaurant to get a meal at. Also, we like to have two queen beds when we travel and all they had available was one king in non-smoking. But overall we were satisfied and would stay there again.
