Non-smoking comfort hotel close to Mississippi Gulf Coast attractions

Avoid This Hotel
We stopped here during a Spring Break trip from Texas to Florida. The hotel desk took 45 minutes to check us in, and we were the only people there. The bed was covered in hair as was the bathtub. The desk clerk offered new sheets and that we would have to change ourselves and that we should wash out the tub if we were not happy. The hot breakfast was not available when we went to leave, although it was scheduled to be open for over an hour prior to our departure.

The Prime Outlet was just 15 minutes up the road and the shopping was great. Many, many discounts.

Reserved a king via [...]. Get there and they have me in 2 queens, with rock hard mattresses. Claim that's how their system treats internet bookers. Wouldn't switch me to a king because they said they didn't have one for all 3 nights. In the morning the manager did let me switch to a king jacuzzi and pay the difference (which was a lot given that it was 'Black spring break', whatever that means).

country Inn & Suites, Ocean Springs
The motel met our expectations and was much the same as we remembered from our last stay several years ago. This time, the motel was sparsely occupied, and I'm sure that helped. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, including chasing after us to bring us something we had left in fridge. Our only negative comment is that the bathroom door was very difficult to open and close, making it difficult for someone (like me) lacking in physical strength, if I had been traveling alone. Otherwise, we give the facilities and staff a positive mark, and the location was great, as we had lots of territory to cover while there.

Helpful to check out dining facilities before going on this trip, as most good restaurants are a fair distance away and require time to locate. Not a problem in our situation, as we were on the move a lot and in areas where we could pick up something.

Close to Fun !
The building was in need of repairs. The tolilet will suck you in whaen flushed. But, [...], the was the staff you look for mwhen you are in a strange place. She was exceptional and made our stay a return with her friendly attitude.
