Loud with unfriendly employees
I wasn't terribly impressed with this hotel. I was more excited when I got there than when I left. A large part of that was the negative attitude of the hotel staff. The two I encountered were extremely unfriendly and stand-offish. The room's bathroom was nice. The rest of the decor could use some updating. It wasn't clear if they were going for a classic or modern look since there was a mix of the two throughout the hotel quite unsuccessfully. Another huge factor in my displeasure was the amount of noise from the street. The hotel clearly needs better soundproofing since I now know Natchez doesn't sleep until after 3am.

Wonderful Stay!
This Hotel is definitely the place to stay if you want to experience Natchez. Situated smack in the middle of downtown, it's walking distance from pretty much everywhere. The big name hotels in the area might have more modern amenities, but what the Eola might lack in flat screen tv's and pools, it makes up with elegance and charm. The architectural details and antiques make you feel like you're in the 1920's, and for architecture/history buff's like me, that is definitely a plus. Friendly service, beautiful settings, and prime location make this my choice for future stays in Natchez.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Kings Tavern is only a couple of blocks away. They have excellent food. The best we had in Natchez during our stay. Thick with History and Ghost stories. I would suggest dining here at night for the full experience.

Overnite Stay
We had a group from our company staying here for a company golf tournament. There was a party going on and there was yelling, tires squeeling, cursing, etc...Our group complained and the motel was suppose to contact the police..it lasted about 2 hours, and happened after midnite...I had breakfast with 2 fellow employees, and we all had different bills and different rooms...They put all their meals on my room...My wife had a bit of difficulty having them straighten it up...I've been here before and did not have these problems...

The casino's, good dining (Kings Tavern), and a really neat golf course are just a short drive...some of the B&B's serve up a great table also...from casual to eligant...Beau Pre Golf course is one of the good ones in the state...Not too long, but a really good test of your skill...Good size greens, very well maintained course...Bobby
