We truly enjoyed our stay at LaQuinta Inn. The price was just right. We had a chance to visit family and friends we hadn't ... seen in a very long time.

My experience at the hotel was nice for the most part. When I got my room, there was still water in the bathtub and some of ... the staff was not particularly friendly. Other than that, I had a great experience.

Could be a better hotel

We recently stayed overnight at the La Quinta Inn in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We later realized that the marjority of the ... people who were staying here as well that night were people who had evacuated from coastal Mississippi and Louisianna for huricane Gustav. So we realize our experience this visit might not necessarily be the norm. We checked in late and the front desk receptionist was curteous and prompt to assign us to our room. Our room was on the first floor of the 2 story building. The corridors were very hot and stuffy with litter on the floor. The room was located right next door to a room that had a small dog that would not stop barking and the toilet would not flush. We called the front desk and an extremely friendly staff member promptly escorted us to another room on the second floor. There are no elevators in this building, so luggage must be carried up the stairs. The guest rooms are on the smaller side and the sheets could definitely be better quality. The bathroom was not as clean as I like them to be as there were a couple of hairs and a dead fly on the floor behind the door which had what looked like spattered coffee stains on it. The room was cool, dark and quiet which allowed us a good night's sleep. A continental breakfast is included in the price of the room which was fine to me because I am not picky. The hotel was attractive in decor and furnishings which appeared to be fairly new. If the hotel was kept cleaner and better maintained, and the bed linens were more comfortable, this would be a much nicer hotel.

Not worth the money!

I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime (some for pleasure and some for business) and this is the first time that I did ... not receive a scheduled wake-up call. I had a meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. with a wake-up call for 7 a.m. I happened to wake up on my own at 7:30 and rushed around to get out and travel to my meeting. I did stop at the desk to report this and got a very casual response. The room was shabby and the pool was small and not very clean, when it was open. There are many hotels/motels in this price range in Hattiesburg and I suggest that you look elsewhere.

The La Quinta Inn was very comfortable, the room had adequate space with a desk area, tv, and two chairs. The bathroom was ... seperate from the vanity area and had a hairdrier and coffee maker. The room had a closet and a suitcase stand. The location was not to far from local restaurants, stores, and gas stations. The hotel staff were friendly and accomidating. The breakfast was Great!!

There was a family restaurant and a fast food place just down the main street. Drive about 15 or 20 minutes to major shopping center and mall.

The convenience of a microwave and small refrigerator was significant...it came in handy for me. I can't imagine a traveller ... with small children having to manage without these. While most accommodations don't include these amenities, they were very useful to me doing my stay there.

There was a family restaurant and a fast food place just down the main street. Drive about 15 or 20 minutes to major shopping center and mall.
