not great
First room had no hot water and we had to change rooms . No room service on Christmas because they had no staff that day.

Good stay
This was a good place to stay while I took some classes at USM. Close to other hotels and shopping. Roads/traffic a little complicated in the area, not insurmountable, certainly not the hotel's fault. Crescent City Grill fairly near...great food!

Pleasantly surprised
Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. Stayed there for a week to find their complimentary buffet offered a different hot item every day. Liked the location of hotel-straight shot to downtown Hattiesburg.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Found a one-of-kind shop called {Clic} Boutique and Gallery on East Front Street that my daughter absolutely loved. Cross the railroad tracks to find quaint place for lunch called The Coffee Depot. Wonderful gift shop next door called Blooms. Favorite restaurant was on Hardy Street called The Crescent Inn. Loved taking a walking tour of the city to learn about its rich history.

Not A Hampton
The Sign outside said Hampton but the inside of the hotel was not. Small room, outside entry, no closet, worn towels, ice machine broke, furniture stuffed in room, room smelly. This property was some other brand before a Hampton Inn.

One night stay on the way to Penn.
Convenient location and the price was right. However, the towels in the bath had absorbed quite a bit of moisture and were damp even though they were obviously unused. Asked the front desk for different towels and all they had were small towels. How can a front desk not have a supply of extra towels???? Hmmm.

Overnight stay
Overall the service was great from front desk to breakfast help. Rooms very small and carpet very dirty looking don't know if just stained but definitely needs to be replaced

Great Place!
Originally I had booked a single room, but at the last minute a friend came with me. The check-in staff was very friendly and there was no problem changing to a room with two double beds.
