Utter Awesomeness!!!
Everything was great! The room was spotless, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Where else can you breakfast and a nice room for substantially less than a hundred dollars? Nowhere! I have only one negative... there was no shampoo in the room. No biggie though.

Good for the price
Very clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms. Friendly staff. Close enough to do fun things like New Orleans, Honey Island Swamp tour, check out Biloxi, hit the beach, etc. Hot breakfast bar is way better than just donuts/bagels/toast. Downsides: exercise equipment was in rough shape and hot tub heater was broken.

Do the Honey Island Swamp Tour when it is warm out. It's 2 hrs on a boat, checking out the wildlife, and seeing some big alligators!

It was ok
It was an ok experience...biggest problems were noise from rooms and hallway on next floor....and a bed that was harder than most rocks that I know of. I could live with the noise, but the hard mattress had me waking up sore all over. The breakfast was pretty good....except for the fact that half the people used the back of the buffet table which DID NOT have a sneeze guard. Yuck!!!!!!

A roller derby traveler is impressed....
Situated a little out of the way from most of the Gulfport hotels Magnolia Bay Hotel and Suites is a decent hotel at a decent price. With a cost that was noticably cheaper than other chain hotels in the area and a complimentary breakfast... What's not to love. Indoor pool and hottub, workout room, laundry and dining close at hand. Room was comfortable with a king bed that slept like a dream, standard tv (not flatscreen but who really cares) and a seperate living room area with foldout couch. Now one other plus was they sold sodas by the bottle by the front desk. They weren't jacked up overpriced bottles just a buck and a quarter plus tax. They didn't nickel and dime like some super deals just a clean room with a slighlty cosmopolitan feel (cool color scheme). I recommend them and will go back if my travels bring me to the Gulfport area.

Fantastic Stay, will go back
Overall I have no complaints. The only issue we had is our refrigerator did not work and when I called front desk they were no accomodating at all. Also breakfast was good for pork eaters but there was no meat for people who do not eat pork.

WOW, pleasantly surprised!
When we were able to get such a good rate for this hotel we were skeptical to say the least. We could not have been more pleased. Great room, comfy bed, hide-a-bed for our son (which he thought was super cool). Indoor pool was nice, hot tub could have been HOT but other than that good visit. We will stay again when we need a weekend getaway from NOLA. Location not the best, but is away from the rest stop and such. It was as good as it could be without moving the hotel.

Labor Day Weekend 2011
With Tropical Storm Lee coming through we got to spend plenty of time in the Hotel. The indoor heated pool was cleanand inviting and more than made up for the lousy weather outside. The free breakfast was good and so were the breakfast hours, 6 to 9AM. I didn't have to get up early to take advantage of it. We had a good time and will go back to this Hotel again if we're in the vicinity again.

Good Value and Good Experience
Although located near a very busy Interstate Highway interchange, the hotel was extremely quiet and restful. The room was very large, very clean and the amenities in the room were as expected. Particularly noted was the abundance of towels provided in the room. The mattress was excellent. I will return to this property in the future, and I would personally recommend it to other travelers, even friends and family members.
