Neat Hotel near Wash U.

Stayed at the Moonrise while visiting the a University. Convenient both to campus and the Metrolink light rail, the Moonrise is funky enough to make it interesting while still providing a nice room that is nicely appointed. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Should have been great if breakfast was included, but we had a good breakfast and coffee at the Meshuggah Cafe down the street.

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really liked it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Initially we received a room on the 7th floor but after moving our luggage in and sitting in the room awhile we could here stuff being moved around above us on the room top terrace for an event they were having. So we had some concerns that noise from the terrace later in the evening might wake my wife since she is a light sleeper. So we went down to the front desk and for a room on a different floor and they had no problems getting us another room. When we first checked in they also asked us if we had any problems finding a place to park and I also heard them ask other customers this as well who were checking in. We didn't have any problems finding a place to park in the free lot behind the hotel. Our room was nice and clean and the bed was great. This is not your normal Chain hotel. It's unique and we really enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Delmar Loop area of St. Louis.

Excellent facility!!

This is really a neat place. When my wife mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary they upgraded us to one of their specialty suites (for no extra charge) and gave us a "coupon" for two free drinks at their bar. The room was fantastic. We ate at the Eclipse restaurant and the food was excellent. The service at the desk, bar and restaurant were all fantastic.

What a great Hotel!

This was probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at for the price. It was very well appointed, clean, updated, friendly staff, and great food from the resturant on-site. I even used the gym (which I rarely do) and it was all new and working properly. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near the center of it all but not quite DT.
