Location and Comfort
The staff were always ready to help and the room, though small, was tops. In a short walk was a charming neighborhood and also the medical school. Driving is easy around there, and parking whether self-park or valet is simple.

great location great fitness center
the hotel has excellent surrounding shopping and cafe life. There is every imaginable restaurant in the surrounding Central West End area. Safe location for single women travelers. Good location if you are heading to Barnes Hospital The fitness center is wonderful. The only criticism is that the suite I stayed in has not been renovated, and the bathroom was not as elegant as the rest of the suite. It was clean, but not totally updated. A cool extra, a movie theatre on the ground floor .

Dropping our daughter at Wash U
We spent two nights here while getting our daughter settled in at Wash U. If you're not familiar with the area, Forest Park is across the street and Wash U is at the other end of the park. Forest Park is enormous and you can't walk from one end to the other easily or quickly. We sprang for a suite (only $18 more a night when we booked) and it was worth the extra money - walked in the door to large living room on the right and bedroom to the left - nice separation if one likes to stay up late and one likes to sleep. Unlike some other reviewers' experiences, we found all staff extremely accomodating, and service prompt and everyone helpful and happy. Maryland Plaza is right around the corner with a great variety of restaurants to choose from, with great coffee (and free refills) at the crepes restaurant. Only thing I wish the hotel room had was an in-room coffee maker. Would definately stay there again.

Great location!
We originally booked a deluxe King room and it was very nice and spacious. The bathroom was very large, modern, and bright just how we like it. However we had a view of the roof and being that it was our first visit to St.Louis we wanted a nice view of the city or Forrest Park. We went to the reception and with no hesitation they upgraded us at not additional charge to a one bedroom suite. While we did have a partial view of Forest park it was a mistake. Since it was a suite with a living area the space itself was much smaller, especially the bathroom. The shower was a small dark tub versus the large, modern, and bright bathroom in the deluxe suite. It was so late already we didn't want to change rooms again. The location was great. Just feet away from great restaurants in Central West End.

Pleasant
The hotel ambiance was nice. It was also convenient to have a movie theater and other amenities within the hotel. The room was nice but average and there was no wireless service. However we would stay there again.
