HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Our family (three families altogether & 11 people) booked this hotel to stay in downtown St. Louis. Upon our arrival, we were told our hotel had been overbooked by this company (and we had paid in full). They sent us to the only other hotel they could find in the area. When we got there, that hotel was SCARY and had rats in the parking lot. We refused to stay there and went back to the original hotel asking for something else. Eventually they offered us the presidential suite for free (which was large but only had 2 beds) bc that's all they had. We slept on the chairs and pallets on the floor between the 11 of us. The next night, the hotel was able to get us two more rooms to stay in also. The hotel did their best to fix a terrible situation that created. In the end, we didn't pay at all for our hotel bc of the kindness of the staff at the hotel and bc of what happened with this booking company. With several small children and no where to go late at night, it was one big mess. I'm thankful to the hotel staff for working it out, but I will NEVER book through this company again!!!

Pretty good location, but that's where it stopped

We checked in on July 4th, it was rather busy that afternoon. The first encounter was pleasant but somewhat misinforming. The clerk asked us to have a seat and she would let us know when a double room was available. After around 30 minutes of waiting, we asked again if there was a room. We were told no, but to "keep checking back", which was confusing for us. After seeing several families check in and get room keys, we asked one more time and a room was suddenly available. At the time of check in we purchased a $15/day parking pass that granted us unlimited entrance/exit from the parking garage. It was not at all made clear to us how this parking pass worked and we ended up having to pay for our parking when we left. When we returned that evening and inquired about how the pass worked, the staff was very rude and very unprofessional. Our problem was resolved before leaving. Our room was a non-smoking room, but it wreaked of cigarette smoke. We let the front desk know, but nothing ever resulted from it. The room was tiny, the beds are full-size, not queen, and the bathroom was super small. Our shower curtain didn't function properly, which made showering challenging. We didn't spend much time in our room, so it was fine; however, the hotel should really consider a major renovation and possibly some staff development about working under stress! The hotel was bustling with people, so I'm a little interested in why they haven't made the much needed renovations. As far as location goes, it was pretty centrally located and about 10 minutes away from several downtown attractions.

Aweful Experience

This past weekend, my friends and I stayed at this hotel and had one of the worst experiences ever. The first room we were put in reeked of tobacco smoke, even though it was marked as non-smoking. The second room had stains and hair everywhere, and was completely disgusting. The parking was unsuitable for a motel... and I paid way to much to leave my car in such a dilapidated garage. I will never go back to this hotel, or any other Ramada for that matter.

Not worth the low price

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was a terrible experience. The bathroom ceiling had a water leak and I reported the problem the first day and no one showed up to fix it. The last day, they simply did not clean the room. I got back at night and the room had not been cleaned. When I reported the problem, the front desk supervisor told me that I had to report the problem to the Housekeeping manager so there is clearly no communication between them. As far as amenities is concerned, the Internet service is not reliable, the TV was old and the cable channels signal was not great, also it was noisy. Finally, they charge $10 per day for parking in an adjacent lot. I picked the hotel due to the reasonable price. I should've paid more and stay at a better hotel...

Wasn't happy

The average hotel has a college dorm refrigerator and a microwave. Not this one its extra in cost. Vending machines was filled with drinks but OUT OF ORDER for our entire stay. Wasn't prepared to pay for our car to sit in a outside garage" open lot for $15 a night. We ordered take out and had to keep going up and down the stairs/elevator to heat food with the rest of the 300 guest who was visiting. The area was average but we was not happy w our stay.

You get what you pay for.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel's location downtown is perfect and was definitely the best part about the hotel. It is close to pretty much everything. The front desk staff is very nice and responded to our requests quickly. However, the housekeeping staff leaves something to be desired. In 3 days, they only made our bed once. We ran out of tissues and they were never refilled. We followed the procedure of placing unwanted towels on the ground. They are supposed to bring new ones but never did, but they did take the old ones. So we were left with no towels. They did not replace the coffee in the room either until we called down to the front desk. The hotel itself has some major downfalls such as the lackluster restaurant/bar with a pitiful breakfast that ended up costing $10 but was equivalent to a continental one you could get for free. Parking also ended up costing $15 a night and I never knew about this until we got there! Plus, the parking garage is across the street from the hotel, so good thing we had good weather! Getting out of the parking garage is very annoying as you have to stop at the front desk every time to get a parking voucher and then the parking gate would barely ever work. We had to complain a couple times to the front desk that we couldn't get out! Finally, I was hoping for a nice view of the city but when we got our room, I was greeted with a scenic view of the indoor swimming pool in the atrium. Our whole stay was very loud because you could hear kids screaming and yelling from the pool. We also had very noisy neighbors as the walls are paper thin. We were awoken at 8am to Spanish music blaring from next door. So, we had to call them and tell them to turn it down. Oh and I also forgot to mention the pillows. For a king size bed, I expected decent, plush pillows. No. We got 4 tiny pillows that are like the ones you put on couches. We called the front desk to get a couple more pillows and they brought up nearly full size pillows, but when housekeeping came the next day, they took the extra pillows away. :( Overall, if you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's decent. But it's definitely nothing special. For a weekend stay, I would recommend spending a little more money and getting more amenities and more of a personal touch.

Just what we were looking for.

We were only going to be in St. Louis for half a day and wanted to be downtown, but we were traveling with a small uhaul trailer. The staff was able to accommodate our parking needs. They were very friendly and helpful.
