Weekend getaway

I really enjoyed the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. The location was excellent and the staff was really friendly. I also liked that there was a Starbucks, yogurt shop and rooftop bar at the hotel. The only downside was some of the staff at the rooftop bar were rude and they stopped serving food earlier than I would have expected for a bar. Also, the bathrooms were on the small side (think door practically on your leg) everytime you used the restroom.

Great hotel, great location!

We picked this hotel because we are Cardinal fans and it is so close to the stadium. Little did we know that when we got to our room that it would look right out at Busch Stadium. It was such an awesome surprise that we were lucky enough to get a room that faced that direction! We enjoyed all of the classic Cardinal pictures in the room and around the hotel as well. There are many dining options in and around the hotel. They do not have complementary breakfast but there are many restaurants close by or they offer room service. We ordered room service one night for late dinner, the staff was very polite and had the food to us very quickly. This hotel is in the perfect location to go to the game and bars/shopping around the stadium. We also went to a concert and walked to the Scott Trade Center. We did not have a rental car but recommend one if you will be staying more than a couple days.

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

There are not many convenient stores near by. We walked a good mile to a gas station to get there and find out that they did not sell beer. We found a few more convenient type stores that did not sell beer either. When we finally found it was about $13 for a 12/pk. If you plan on buying beer from a store, get it ahead of time otherwise you have a long walk ahead of you and it isn't cheap.

Fun stay

The location of this hotel was the main reason we booked initially, however, it ended up being a great hotel all around. We enjoyed the large size of our king room and the view of the arch. We frequented the club 360 at the top of the hotel for cocktails and really enjoyed the views of the ballpark and surrounding city. The lobby bar was comfortable and the bartenders friendly. We enjoyed a pizza there one night. We enjoyed a nice room service breakfast one morning as well. Many people complained about the strange elevator system at the hotel, but I didn't find it all that difficult to use. The unfortunate thing about it is that they seem to have to have 2 full time employees at the bottom and the top to help people who can't figure it out. We would definitely stay there again.

Great trip

Location was perfect and the view from our room could not of been better. Food was good especially the breakfast buffet. The service was a little slow in Market Place when you where in a hurry. Pool was being out of service until the day we left. Would stay again.

Nice area

Nice location, Starbucks in lobby, and a great bar on roof. Room service was cold and they forgot drinks twice. We were charged for parking when we didn't park there (this issue was fixed but a hassle at check out) and the shower didn't drain well.

family trip

Nice hotel for going to a Cardinals game. The room was clean and nice and the staff was very helpful. The elevators were extremely slow so that was a challenge for us. We took the stairs a few times but they were very steep and not very nice, especially as we were traveling with small children.

Overnight stay

My partner and I were in town for a baseball game. This hotel is about as close as you can get to the ball park. The hotel is only 1 block form the stadium so easy walk. Upon arrival the valets met us and told us about the options for parking. You could either valet park for $27 a night or self park for $20. We chose valet. Check in was smooth and painless. The elevator system for the hotel is a tad odd though. They have someone at the elevators that call for certain floor numbers and then punch those numbers into a touch pad for floor selection. This touch pad is located on all floors but once you get to the guest floors you are on your own. The room was very clean and spacious. We had paid for a city view but you could still see right into the ball park from our room. The pool and spa area seemed a tad dated but was still clean and well maintained. Overall we plan on staying there the next time we go to the ball park.
