Not worth it!!!!

Definitely not worth it. We should have paid more to stay somewhere else. We were their for the World Series so everything else was booked. We were stuck staying there. GOOD: Location was convenient to airport and metroLink railway. They did offer a shuttle (Small Van) to the airport and metro link. BAD: Everything else. Room was disgusting. Bathroom floors were NASTY. We actually went to a dollar store and bought cheap flip flops to wear in the bathroom and shower. We slept in our clothes. The originally booked us in a smoking room and said that we had reserved a smoking room. We told them that we did not. We only booked through website. They switched us to a handicapped room. All they had. It seemed like a locally owned Mom and Pop lodge. Couple/Owners there seemed nice, but property needs a lot of work.

WILL NOT STAY AGAIN

I know you often get what you paid for, but because of the storms that had struck the St. Louis area, I found myself in a bind when it came time to head home, so I booked for cheap, not luxury. When I first checked in, the manager at the desk didn't seem to have things together, kept asking the same questions repeatedly, he was difficult to understand with his accent. When I got up to my room, I had to force the door shut and found the deadbolt very difficult to lock. After stepping out to get dinner, I returned to have an even tougher time shutting the door. I called the front desk and asked if they could either send someone up to check the door or give me another room. After 2 hours and 3 more phone calls to the front desk, I finally had a manager come up to check on the door. He kept telling me that I didn't need the deadbolt, that the hotel was safe. I insisted on wanting the deadbolt for my own personal safety, and he kept telling me I would be fine. I finally raised my voice, mostly so anyone in surrounding rooms could here me since it was close to 11pm at this time with the hopes that he would finally give in and insisted on a new room. I told him I was a single female traveling by herself, part of what I am paying for is the peace of mind of knowing that I am safe. He finally agreed to change my room after about 20 minutes of arguing. Both rooms I was given, were dirty. The first room had hair in the shower and looked like it had not been vacuumed in quite sometime. The second room had sunflower seed shells between the bed and the nightstand and looked like it needed to be vacuumed as well. And their continental breakfast was bread to be toasted and some cereal. I felt very disrespected by management each time I dealt with them, including on the ride to the airport the following day. I will NEVER stay here again and recommend you look elsewhere as well.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Golden Pancake across the street from the hotel was probably the only good thing about my trip. Very affordable and delicious.

best value around if you don't need fancy

right by the airport with the amazing "Golden Pancake" restaurant across the street. I don't think anyone would dare use the "pool", but the rooms were just fine.
