It is the only place I stay in St. Louis. Not fancy, but nice and the happy hour is great.

Great hotel
We stayed for New Years- included in our room price were free cocktails and food during happy hour and a free continental breakfast. The toiletries in the bathrooms were cheap and inside a dispenser (no freebies there!) but if that's what they need to do to cut costs, then I'd rather have the free food and drinks over a mini bottle of shampoo any day! The location was great- the front desk staff called a cab for us which arrived immediately.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in St. Louis
From the moment you walk in, the staff is sooo friendly & personable. We arrived prior to check-in time & just wanted to park so we could go shopping at Union Station (right across the street) & were able to check in immediately. The happy hour w/free munchies and drinks was awesome. They are not kidding, you get 3 free drinks from martinis to bloody mary's. Nice selection. The free brkfst was great w/home made belgian waffles & lots more. We went shopping, took a nap in the very comfortable beds, went to happy hour, got in the hot tub, then the pool & went to our rooms to watch a scary movie. Can't think of one reason to stay anywhere else for the quality, convenience, all the ammenities & most of all the staff, each & every one!

Not what I had hoped for
We were awoken at 3:30 AM by the fire alarm. After spending a half hour outside with the other guests and our own uncertainties, we went back to our room only to be disturbed several more times by the alarm going off again for short periods of time. This was incredibly frustrating, to say the very least. Coupled with the fact that the water in the sink wouldn't stay cold- when wanting to fill a glass or brush teeth it was always with warm water. Ugh. I won't be returning to this hotel.

Nice Stay
The 5:30 Kickback was great, free food served as dinner. The staff was amazing, everyone I encountered wished me a good stay or said hello. The parking was secure in a garage owned by the hotel and was free. Great Stay!

Excellent experience
Stayed overnight to attend a concert at Busch Stadium. The hotel was well within walking distance of the stadium and in close proximity to the MetroLink. The room was on the first floor of the hotel located immediately adjacent to a hotel and parking garage entrance. I believe the hotel was sold out for the night and while there was a lot of activity in and out of the garage and hotel, there was absolutely no noise or commotion. Also, did not hear any hallway activity or noise from adjacent rooms. The walls must be well insulated! Engagement with the hotel staff was limited, but positive. Security was good (guard present in the hotel at night). The shower was great (not always the case in may hotels). Found the food and drink offerings to be very generous. Definitely would stay in this hotel again.

Excellent value!
I was very happy with my experience here. The hotel itself is very old, but our room had been beautifully renovated. The lobby is clean and well taken care of. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but we did take a glance, and it looks all brand new with nice tile, etc. The elevators are old and tired, but that was the only area that wasn't updated. The employees were all VERY friendly, and there are many many complimentary extras. Overall a very good experience, and for an extremely reasonable price!
