Quality Inn & Suites Historic St. Charles

For my needs for location, the hotel met to perfection. The condition of facilities is not good, is very deteriorated. The carpets are very dirty and old. The care and customer service people make the hotel is not very friendly. Considering the cost of hotel breakfast we felt good, but could have more variety for stays of more than two days the menu is insufficient.

Tiny little pillows for a king bed and you could hear conversations in hall. But, it was clean and a large room. Average hotel for an average price. I'd go again for a night.

The rooms were clean and quiet. While I had a problem with my room the first night the staff was very responsive and changed my room immediately. The staff at the front desk wre always friendly, helpful and professional.

Front desk was excellent. Only one ice maker had any ice. Our room faced a powerful outside light. The shade in the room did not block the light. It was not easy getting sleep.

The location was just minutes away from The Foundry Arts Center where we had to attend a wedding reception.. Lots of shopping and restaraunts closely located also. Great location

On check in we were informed that we were on 7th floor as the hotel had no cleaning staff over the weekend and the rooms on 1st. were not clean. The check in clerk also stated that he had to clean the pool before he left.I really didn't feel we needed that info.

When we arrived the computer was down and we could not check in for hours. The man at the desk was very helpful and found a way to check us in until the computer came back . While this was not the fault of staff the hotel should try to get a computer that works. After a long day of travel who wants to wait an hour to get into their room.

Stayed at Quality Inn and Suites for 3 nights in September 2008. Beds were very comfortable. Large, quiet rooms with mini-fridge and microwave. Large desk for business. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Front desk staff let us check in and take luggage to room only to find it was still being cleaned by housekeeping. Housekeeper was very nice and finished quickly. All staff was wonderful and helpful. A light in our bathroom broke and someone was there within 5 minutes to replace. Hotel is right off the exit from I-70, making it very easy to find. Very close to the Ameristar casino.

Ice machines didn't work and the hallways were warm, litle or no a/c. The free breakfast buffet was ok. The outdoor/indoor pool was ok and the property had a small fitness area. Close to I-70, a Casino & gas stations.
