Nagatu, Japanese restaurant in the mall parking lot, with chef doing your meal at the table and really entertaining throughout the meal. A drive down to the mall at the south end of town but worth the drive. Reasonably priced at 13-18/meal.

I guess you get what you pay for

The pictures on the web site were not what the room looked like. My wife and i were wanting an inexpensive night away from the kids and found what seemed to be a good deal. "King bed with Plasma TV". There was a flat panel which is good, but it was hung crooked. The bed was OK, the room was fairly clean, but the size was tiny. Oh, and the breakfast area was upstairs, small and very limited. But it did have a waffle make, which was a plus to an otherwise extremely limited breakfast. All in all, it wasn't terrible, but did lack something to be desired. If you are wanting an inexpensive room to stay in for a night it's fine. Other than that, try something else.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Downtown Springfield is just a short drive from the hotel. It has alot of really nice places to eat at and a new movie theater right there as well as live theaters, and an independent theater called "The Moxie". Go see Dan at the Moxie, very worth your time.

Worst place to stay

Well i couldn't even take a shower because the water pressure was so low, the water wouldn't get hot, and the shower curtain and rod was messed up, the shower curtain would fold to the middle, and get water everywhere! it was awful. The pool had pumped to much chlorine, which made me and the guests i stayed with all sick, and turned me and my sisters hair GREEN! We were in town to have pictures taken while i was 8 months pregnant; it was a waste of a trip and i was out alot of money. The lady at the front desk told me when i went in to get more towels that "they didn't want people swimming in the pool because the pump broke" But yet, there was no lock on the gate or sign saying pool closed.

Small and stale

We had an unpleasant experience. Mercifully, it was only for one night. Even though we requested a non-smoking room, the first one we were given smelled of smoke. The desk clerk gave us another room, but half the lights didn't work and we were basically told we didn't know how to turn on the lamps. (Not true! They were defective lamps.) The bathroom was almost too small to turn around in, and the towels were thin and scratchy. I was glad it was cheap, but I won't go back there.

Good Stay

The flat screen tv, minifridge, and microwave are a nice touch to add to the room. The space in the room was a little smaller then normal but not bad until you get clustered between the sink and the bathroom. The air conditioner had some issues on when you turned the knob did it really move to the cooler location or did it just show that it did. The beds were comfortable and the night was peacefully quiet to sleep. The hotel staff was plesent, and full of smiles. The morning breakfast was what you would expect minus the meat. Waffles made by the staff, toast, cereal, and begals made for enough to start the day and prepare you for lunch. The outdoor pool was big enough for about 5 people to freely move around but any more than that and it would seem very crowded.

For a sobering meal late a night or early in the morning there is a waffle house located in the hotel parking lot. 24 food when ever you need it.

You Get what you Pay For

This is a very old Motel that the owners must have bought cleaned up and turned into a Days Inn. The rooms are very small and mine was painted all green. The king size bed was very comfortable and the TV was nice.

Motel turned Hotel

Very nice. It was obvious to tell that this was a Motel turned Hotel, but the normal Days Inn amenities were all available. It was nice to see their attention to ensure nice HD TVs were in the rooms (along with fridge and microwave). Nice touch keeping up with the times!

Problems but cooperative staff

We stayed here simply to get to the airport the next morning. In our first room there were no towels and there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I relayed these to the front desk and our room was blocked from being rented and we were given another room which was satisfactory. There were plenty of accessories in the room and we appreciated the prompt respond from the staff.

Right now there is road construction on the overpass right next to the hotel but it is not a big hurdle.

A Good Comfortable Stay

The motel was older, but in good condition. It was clean to the naked eye and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had a digital TV. The room was a bit small, but had a microwave and refrigerator. The highway noise from I-44 was apparent outside, but not obtrusive in the room. The motel was located just off one of the main streets for easy access to anywhere in town. Only the reconstruction on the bridge nearby made access a bit difficult. All in all, a good buy for the money.
