Clean and comfortable
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. We booked two rooms and both were clean and comfortable. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and free wi-fi. An extra touch was a package of microwave pop corn by the tv. The bathroom had a rainshower shower head. They offer a free continental breakfast but we ate elsewhere. This is a pet friendly hotel, and despite pets, the carpets were clean and unstained. The only negative was we asked for two nonsmoking rooms but one room was not. We felt it a minor issue so didn't complain.

Single good/Double not so much
My group used 3 rooms, 2 were doubles and 1 single king. The single king was above average and in a seemingly newer building; very adequate. The dbls were not very nice - broken leg on bed, musty and had bugs crawling on the walls. Bottom line recommendation - single yes, double no

Working my way down Glennstone
I spend quite a few nights in Springfield on Glennstone Ave. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you expect from a quality Best Western location. The staff was friendly and helpful and my nights stay did not include any hidden fees or costs. The facility is sprawling only lacking large vehicle parking, which their website states but Orbitz failed to advise me. Luckily my tractor was in for repairs so was not an issue during this stay. The internet connection was adequate for a shared wifi access point. I only had two gripes with my stay, the first was the shower continued draining for a long time. I assume this is endemic to the extended shower head arrangement which was appreciated but five minutes after turning tap off was still gurgling. The other was the remote for the HDTv, I don't know if they switched to a generic for the cleaning program but it failed to access setup properly when I tried to watch a DVD. I spent a few minutes attempting to navigate the menu using the control pad behind the screen. And due to the fact of my tiredness almost gave up and would have been really upset as that was the determining factor for my stay.

Nice but a little noisy
our room was nice, beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The only concern I had is the noise level. Glenstone is a busy, noisy road and the road noise was loud and clear in our room. You park 10 feet from your car, which is nice, but it means other cars are driving 25 feet from your bed, which can be a little noisy. Especially if it is a group of people riding Harleys. I'd stay here again but I'd ask for a room in an out of the way corner.

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
Mexican Villa is a great local restaurant. There are several, but the best one is a mile or so south of Bass Pro on S Campbell st. Try the burrito enchillado style. For dessert go to Andy's Frozen Custard across the street from the restaurant and also a short drive south of the Coach House on Glenstone.

Springfield Hotel
All employees were friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and roomy enough. The only downside was the design of the rooms. In the bathroom there was no flat serface big enough to lay down a hair brush or shaving razor. For a hotel serving people living out of a suitcase, work space is important.
