Knights Inn Kirksville

We ordered a non-smoking room but got a room that stunk of cigarette smoke and had holes burnt in the sheets. We didn't arrive until 5am so we stuck it out for the night. However, they were very kind to switch us to a better room the next night, and they were also very accommodating in getting us a crib for our baby. I'm happy with the service after the initial mistake. The king bed was hard and uncomfortable. The plug for the bath tub was broke (could only shower). We got a good rate, so we pretty much got what we paid for. Would stay again.

I am thinking??? What was good about the visit.. The Knights Inn is old, not kept up, even the so called "free breakfast" was a day old. What was bad?? All of the above and then some..

We took our Truman Freshman and stayed overnight to get ahead of traffic for move in day. No other hotel was available when I made reservations 6 weeks in advance. I expected old and out dated - I figurued I could get by. What I didn't expect was the room had lots of cob webs around ceiling and corners. This made me question the cleanliness of entire room/bathroom. A few tiny spiders were around too - one came out of the light by bed when I turned it on and dropped to pillow. Yuck! Only positive thing - hotel on one level.

Looking for a place to spent a couple nignts before and after a long hike at Thousand Hills State Park, I got exactly what I wanted: nothing fancy but a quiet,clean, accessible and rather cheap room with a good shower. I found it....

The room was good size but the bed springs were broke, there was poeple with a huge dog and was suppost to be no animals. There was a large group of people outside close to the pool smoking weed. The room had several of the power plugs that did not work, had to move the lamp to one that did just to have light. One of the light switch covers was the wrong one. In the shower the shelf was about to fall off the wall. One of the chairs at the small table was about to fall over when u sit down in it.
