Pancake City is one of the best places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You get tons of food for a great price! You wont leave there hungry!

Best Place to Stay in Kirksville
Compared to other hotels across the nation, this hotel is average. Compared to other hotels in Kirksville, this hotel is BY FAR the best. The hotel is very clean and they offer a free breakfast. The bed was also VERY comfortable.

My college daughter and I stayed the night before moving her into the dorms the next morning. We were in a "non-smoking room on a smoking floor" HA! Our room smelled of smoke so strongly that I woke up in the night. Even my pillow smelled smoky. The rest of the hotel smelled badly, odors I could not identify. I couldn't believe there was not even ONE pop machine that worked! The desk person said they were waiting for the delivery guy - WHAT?! Ordering pop for the machines is not rocket science: when you run low, order more. The ice machine also was "out of order." As a single mom, I was very disappointed to spend $100 for such a lousy experience.

High Marks: HI Express - Kirksville
Were there for a high school girls basketball team camp. I would have liked more in a fitness room, but the pool was good. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean.

This hotel provides a quality service with a personal. The hotel has freshly baked and delicious cookies at the front desk throughtout the day. This stay was somewhat disappointed in the sense that we were assigned a smoking room, although we asked for a non-smoking room. The residual smoke in the room was deep. Air freshner purchased by us helped but not completely.

Family Reunion
Great value for a smaller town!
There was another family group there, and the kids took over the pool our first day there. Being an indoor pool, that made it VERY loud. Overall, we got a good deal on a nice hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. We had a slight mix-up with our rooms (we were in town for a family reunion, so there were two families with the same last name). The hotel took care of it quickly and efficiently, once we realized what happened. They were always pleasant. It felt very safe. We even had enough room for everyone to hang out in our "living area".

Good location and services
We came for a family reunion & 90th birthday for an Uncle that lives in Downing. This appeared to be the best choice of hotels closest to Downing. We ended up staying much longer than expected due to a medical emergency. The staff did ask everyday how my Mom was doing and did all they could to help make the extended stay the best it could be in this situation.

The Pondrosa is a buffet restrurant and very good. I could get just the salad bar or the whole show. Good food, lots of choices and clean.

Best hotel in Kirksville
I have stayed at other hotels in Kirksville and I feel this is the best one. The hotel is clean and in a nice location. In fact, they were replacing all the mattresses in the hotel while we were there as part of upgrading the entire hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
