Super 8 Kansas City Airport

well first of all, they gave us a key to a room with visitors already. Then had to move to another room to finish the stay. They had enough gaul to ask for a deposit, the room was clean but the shower had rust and no water pressure. Tv was a joke it had 2 channels.

I stayed there because I had an early flight. The hotel was good for what I wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful. They pick me up from the car rental return and then took me to the terminal at 4:00 am no questions asked. Great service.

my major complaint is that there was no pool or much of a lobby area. considering the location and cost however, it was definitely a "you get what you pay for" experience.

(Saturday, 09/25/2011) My partner and I got in very, very late Saturday night\Sunday morning (I had checked in to the hotel on Friday evening). At 9:00 am I called the office and asked the manager about a later checkout than 11 am. He replied that I could check out by 12 pm without a surcharge. At 11:00 the cleaning staff knocked on our door for cleaning service, EVEN THOUGH THE "DO NOT DISTURB" SIGN WAS ON THE DOOR NOB. At 11:22 am the office called the room asking when I was coming to the office to check out. I told the office personnel that I would be checking out late, sometime early after noon, and that I would pay the surcharge. At 11:45 am the office called the room and said that I needed to come to the office NOW, so that they could charge my card the surcharge. I replied that I would take care of it when I checked out in the early after noon. At 12:20 am the office called the room and requested when I was coming to the office to check out, to which I replied, soon! At 12:45 am the office called the room and I simply picked up the receiver and hung up. This behavior was completely unnecessary harassment. At 1:20 pm I went to the desk and said that the repeated phone calls were entirely uncalled for, to which the manager berated me for not coming to the office in a timely manner, at which point a heated argument ensued. My family and I are heavy travelers and we have stayed in many dozens of hotels and I have never experienced anything like that. That was the poorest example of customer service I have ever seen.

The room was musty smelling and we couldn't get rid of the smell (opened the door & turned on the fan even though it was rainy & cold). The toilet wobbled and the sink did not drain. Person at the desk not friendly when we checked in. Free continental breakfast was a "D" rating. It was cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Was doing something downtown, but picked this hotel for the price, and the fact they gave me a 1pm late check out. The staff at check in was wonderful, but did not appreciate the call the next morning by the morning staff asking why I was still in the room at 12:30pm. Lack of communication happens everywhere, but yapping at me while I'm trying to get my stuff together to get out of there wasn't helping. Room was really nice, the breakfast was super early and good, but the shower was cold at 12:35pm.

The main problem was it was hard to turn the bath into the shower. Fortunately my boyfriend figured it out (maybe just pulled it hard enough), but if I had been by myself I might have not been able to take a shower. Other than that, it was fine, the airport shuttle was very convenient - it's practically seconds away from the airport and they will take you whenever you want to go.

Room was fine but I had expected to leave my car there without charge so that expense was not anticipated. 4.50 charge per day to leaving your car.

It was a nice room with a king bed and a sofa and coffee table. Not cramped at all.

Can't complain for the price. Satisfied.
