Holiday Inn KANSAS CITY SE - WATERPARK

I normally do not write bad reviews because I believe it's a personal experience. However, this time I have to just say it like it is. First, if you want to get to your room expect to wait at the elevators every time for at least 10-15 minutes. Standing there with a 2 year old not so wonderful. We wasted so much time waiting waiting waiting. The room was ok nothing special but the air conditioning quit working about three hours into our stay. The water park which is why we stayed at this hotel was overcrowded to say the least. Overall, I would never stay at this hotel again.

I was hesitant about driving 3 hours to stay at this hotel after several of the poor reviews i read before booking our stay. I was pleased when we arrived in a clean room with heat and ac that worked nicely. Everything was as it should be in our room, and for the amount of kids and youth sporting teams staying in the hotel, the room was quiet also. The only negative comments I have, which didn't affect the quality of my stay, were that the ceiling leaked in several corners of the dining room, in the entry way to the men's locker room of the coco keys water resort, and caused ceiling tiles to get wet and fall to the floor in the hallway leading to the game room. It was kind of tacky seeing trash cans and cups catching rain water. Also, the water resort was more geared towards kids. We had fun getting away for the weekend don't get me wrong, but I would say anyone over 14 is too old to really have a blast at this resort. Overall, it was worth the drive and I would book again if we were in the area.

Hotel was nice room was nice needed some ice went down the hall where it says vending/ice, no ice machine. There was a soda dispenser so I selected a bottle of water and recieved a Coke Zero. Well they had 2 water buttons and selects the 2nd water and still received another Coke Zero witch wasn't even a choice on the vending machine.

We arrived around Noon and check in wasn't until 3pm. I asked the front desk if there was any way we could check in early, and they didn't give us any problems. We were able to check in and get on about our day. Anytime I had to speak with the staff they were always friendly. The price was perfect. The only downside was that they were doing construction, but it wasn't a huge deal...it didn't impact my experience too much. It wasn't loud or anything. Overall it was great.

We had fun at the water park and were glad that it was not as noisy as great wolf lodge. The power and air conditioning went out in the night and made it difficult to get a good night's rest, but the staff provided a fan, which helped. They did provide some compensation. It's a good location to the KC Royals and Chiefs stadium, off I-70 and only 15minutes from downtown. Good value for the price.

Great Location if you are going to the baseball/football games. You dont even have to go in to Kansas City. Hotel was busy but everything was great! We walked to the baseball game and it was an easy walk.

The free bus ride to and from the Royals stadium was so appreciated.

People at desk were great - Checking in was quick but a nightmare at the elevators. We waited and waited to go up to our room with only two elevators. Plus, some of our family was on a different level and it took forever to get to another floor because of the elevators! Improvement needs to be made there!
