Aladdin-Holiday Inn @ KC
Hotel was in a fantastic location. Historic building with an eclectic-feel. Problem was with the booking reservation and staffing. Our reservation was bumped. Reserved two rooms (with double-beds). The hotel/staff double booked all the rooms. We ended up with 2 single bed rooms. Couldn't accommodate our group with cots (fire hazard). I then asked what could be done to make up for the fact that our reservation could not be kept (discounted rates, free meals, etc). What could they do to make us want to ever stay there again. RESPONSE: "You booked online, sorry. You should have called us" I couldn't have been more frustrated. Booking online flight+hotel was a discount.... but the service and inability to meet the reservation is a joke. We would have paid full freight to get what we wanted. I will not be staying at that hotel, and probably wont be booking through Orb*** for our trips.

A pleasant surprise in downtown Kansas City
The price was right since I purchased a flight and hotel combo from Orbitz. I found the Holiday Inn to be very comfortable, and the staff were extremely accommodating. The bed was excellent, the bathroom was clean and up to date, and I appreciated free internet via LAN in the room. The WiFi signal was too weak, but the LAN worked fine. Access to the bathroom was a little cramped because furniture partially blocked the passageway, but it was not a major problem.

Go left out the front door of the hotel, go about two blocks, then turn left. Go another two blocks and you're surrounded by a nice selection of restaurants. AMC theater complex is also right there.

The parking situation is not good. You have two choices: 1. park across the street yourself for $12 per day or 2. use valet for $15 per day. I know this is not unusual for hotels in cities but it makes the cost of the room itself not really a good deal. Other than that the hotel was comfortable and clean.

For the price the rooms were small and there wasn't any parking. You had to park by valet or in a parking garage. I wasn't thrilled with Hotel at all. I would not stay there again.

Nice Birthday Touch
Hotel staff was great even sang live Happy Birthday to me!!! He was SUPER good too. Very clean rooms. Fast easy checkin and out. Great location! Good value!

Great stay
close to power and light and worlds of fun is a ten minute drive plaza is aswell hotel was clean had spa and restaurant which were both nice would defiantly stay again

Nice little Boutique Hotel in Downtown KC
Staff was very nice and very helpful!! The room was abit small but very comfortable and nice modern furnishings. Nice little bar above the hotel lobby just right for a nightcap!! The hotel is very close to nightlife and restaurants.

Birthday Weekend!
The only real issue we had other then the cable not working was trying to find a parking spot when we first arived but the valets were fast to help us. Hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. Hotel was in walking distance to the Sprint Center which was nice and saved us $15 in parking fees. Great weekend for sure.

Nice for a Hiliday Inn
Nice for a Holiday Inn, but the few times I have stayed here the rooms do not get cool enough. Couldn't get the temp to go below 76 degrees.
