First time to Power & Light District
Phil Oct 19, 2009
Once the staff realized you didn't need them and thus they weren't getting tipped, they were few and far between to help. ... However, when asked, they did give information. Great location if you're going to the Power & Light District in Kansas City. Rooms were nice and quiet.

Nice hotel GREAT location
MDS from ICT Aug 30, 2009
It just so happened that everything we wanted to do on this trip was right around the Presidential hotel. It is really close ... to the Power and Light area of downtown KC and you can walk about half a block and be in the thick of it. Rooms are nice and clean. The restaurant and bar LOOK very nice though we didn't actually go into either of them. Parking is available in their own garage, which is included in the price of the hotel stay. The price listed on Orbitz included valet parking and if you do a self parking, they charge you a little less. Though if you aren't parking at all, you will save at least $16 (overnight self-park fee).

Enjoyed our stay
JLS Aug 10, 2009
We stayed at the hotel as part of a quick weekend getaway. The location is great! It's within blocks of the Power and Light ... District and a quick drive to the Crossroads Art District, numerous restaurants, and the Sports Complex. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We'll stay here next time we visit KC.

On the first Friday of the month local art galleries stay open late in the Crossroads Art District. Great for people watching and getting a glimpse of the local art scene. There's also a great Farmer's Market on Sat. mornings in the City Market.

Awesome Place to stay
Bett Nov 30, 2008
We stayed at this hotel the same day as the MO/KS border war football game so there were lots of adults & kids, yet you ... still didn't hear the people staying next door to you. The hotel had the most comfortable beds and pillows. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet, which was good, was $19 per person. Use the valet parking it is $16 for the stay, but is very worth it.

Great hotel, door staff very helpful and friendly. Food and bar servers were varied, some were great, a couple seemed lost ... and overwhelmed. Loved the hotel, just wish they had a pool! The room was great!

Michael Jun 28, 2008
There was a wonderful ballroom on the 12th floor for our business conferences for the week that was perfect for the large ... group we had there. And our group was a large group of well behaved teenagers that the hotel was very accommodating to. Bathroom was more roomy than standard hotels. $50 Million refurbish was recently done to get this looking very similar to it's original look in the 1920s. Very stylish!! And we were in easy walking distance from many restaurants and from the very large conference centers in the middle of town. It was perfect!

The hilton President is well worth the money. But the whole express check in is not so express and if your name does not come ... up on the computer at the front desk uh oh maybe your not worhty of staying there, Me and my girlfriend were looked down upon as if maybe we were stupid and didnt have the right hotel or maybe we didnt have enough money to be staying at the hilton president hotel. Once we got in the room I went to front desk to ask for more tea packets and I was told they would have some sent up Never showed up, So in a nutshell the hotel room was excellent and comfortable but the service was little to be desired.

my husband and small child and I stayed at the Hilton President for my Best Friends wedding and reception. The reception was ... held on the 12th floor, and it was great. The staff was friendly, the reception hall was beautiful, and the waiters were the friendliest that I have personally come across. When we returned from the festivities, we were in a beautiful room, with a full bathroom, and and king sized bed that was so comfortable that my family and I hated to leave. my 9 month old son even loved it. he rolled from 1 end of the bed to the other!lol the room was spacious so we weren't bumping into one another to get around....which they made sure was non-smoking for our infant. P.S. the vending machine stole my money and I was reimbursed downstairs with 2 sodas, instead on 1! We Loved it.
