Clarion Hotel Airport

I travel a lot and usually stay in those three star hotels. One of the most important parts staying in the hotels is the quality of the room and particularly the bed. Well, Although this Hotel looked nice on the photos, rooms were not impressive at all. Beds were flat and covers were very used up. Shower and toilet sits were so used up that they looked yellow. All I wanted for the morning to be over so I can check out as fast as I can.

The young lady at the front desk was great, but there were some computer problems upon check-in and check-out. The first floor room I had looked nice and it was clean. The beds were great, but the Sleep Number feature on one of them didn't work, but that wasn't a big deal to us. There was a wall unit cooler that worked, but was missing a knob, and it created a lot of moisture in the room. It would have been nice to have a screen on the sliding glass door to the courtyard. The courtyard needed some attention to weeds and a little trash. There was a new thermostat for AC but it didn't work, so the front desk told me to use the wall unit. The refrigerator made a running water noise all night. I should have changed rooms, but we were pretty tired after a lot of traveling (both days). The room service meal was mediocre, but service was good. In the bar, they should use Wine Vacuum's to preserve previously opened wine, because they had many bottles opened with the corks half way in. I had a glass that was terrible and the hostess advised maybe I just had never had that label before (this was not true). She did provide another glass from a different bottle. I just expected more from the top of the Choice Hotel chain.

The hotel could use a good, friendly bar/lounge, lucky for us there was a great sports bar next door at the four seasons. Other than that everything was great.

The best part of our stay was arriving late and being greated by name (aparently we were he last registered guests to check in that evening). Our stay went downhill from there. My expectations were not high- we were only looking for clean, comforable beds to spend the night before an early flight. The beds/pillows were not comfortable and after a poor nights sleep we awoke to shower and had no running water in the bath. We called the front desk and they were quick to offer to send maintainance- we were in a rush with a plane to catch and asked for the key to another room to shower. We were provided with the key to the next room over that had been vacated only moments before and not yet cleaned. Front desk staff was friendly and excellent beyond that the hotal was a complete disappointment.

They had no record of our reservation. I had Marriott call them and they had not heard of us. We drove to the Radisson and I asked for our reservation and they had not heard of us. We ended up staying at another "less than desirable" motel.

Very friendly staff older Hotel but nice, need a car it is away from everything but has a diner in hotel

Housekeeping was good but the repairs and maintenance needs a big boost in budget. Noisy compressor on high cool. Water spots on ceiling. Mold on shower walls. Shower curtain & towel racks coming off wall.
